I started my first real job at 17 right out of high school.
While working my clerical job for $1.50/hr. I lived at home with my folks for a couple years then moved out on my own. That was in 1974.
I got a job making stock trailers for $3/hr. My car payment was $100/mo. and my all inclusive rent for a decent 1 br apt was $60/mo. I had more money than I knew what to do with so l started saving a down-payment for a house (you could buy a decent 2/3 br house for $5,000 back then.)
Young people (all people) should be able to support themselves and its a crime what things have come to in America.

Huge inflation and unreasonable prices really can't last that long, unless the govt just never declares recession.
I'm starting to wonder more of we're headed out of a recession and into a depression.
