Just goes to show that zoom as a company doesn't use its own software when conducting business.

To be fair: you should have some sort of centralized location for servers, tech workers and such.

For a company like zoom where video latency matters, I'd say keeping servers on-Premises would be pretty problematic. Zoom would benefit from edge servers, but I'm not sure of their operations. I feel using the cloud would help them keep maintenance costs and latencies low.

As for tech workers, you have a valid point. A centralised location does help speed up development.
