Yeah but for some reason it shoves all those posts into my feed no matter if I follow them or not.

It seems like over half my timeline is posts from random people I don't follow!

There's a rumor that the Threads app was built in 3 weeks, using the recently open-sourced Twitter recommendation algorithm and a lot of other open-source tools. So the recommendations of Threads might actually be really similar to Twitter.

Yeah but it's buggy, crashes all the time, can't support my large photography images, and the feed is full of trash I didn't subscribe too

Interesting, I didn’t have that experience at all. It looks beautiful, hasn’t crashed on me once, I’ve seen high quality pics and have been enjoying lots of great content.

How much are you downsizing your photos? I can't figure out any documentation stating the max file size. Just the app crashes about every 2/3 times I put together a post. Tons of wasted time and effort on the creator side of things. Mstdn.social and pixelfed.social are miles ahead in terms of quality of experience and reach.

Probably small enough cause it's just a phone photo. My professional photos are full frame
