Thoughts on fediverse feed?
Just updated and noticed the fediverse button. Preety cool addition tbh, it seems rather slow and buggy atm.
I still find spyke feed to be higher quality

What is the fediverse
It's a decentralised open source network of servers that anyone can host. Examples include lemmy and kbin, Each server can host its own communities and other servers can exchange information with each other. With a single account you can access the entire fediverse and now it's an option in spyke as well.
Ah, so not for me, I understood nothing you said.
I do appreciate the reply. Peace and love.
Basically it's a platform like reddit. But instead of a single entity running reddit, anyone can run their own reddit and all these reddits can talk to each other. That way there is no single authority
I'm just here for memes, I don't care about any of that. Ty tho.
It would be more useful if we had a way to curtate the feed. Right now it's a shotgun blast of crap I don't really care about.
I don’t give even a quarter of a shit about fediverse anything, so 🤷♂️
Tbh Spyke has made the fediverse a bit more simpler to use.
If the user is isolated from all the technical crap and instead was allowed to experience the fediverse as frictionless as reddit (on spyke) then it could be a great move.
I think it's cool it gives users the best of both worlds.
Ok so it seems quite buggy at the moment. I can see the posts but when clicking on any of them to view comments, it doesn't show anything.
I just wish it wasn't in compact mode but maybe that's just a bug or something yet to be implemented fully.
I'm with you, not a fan of compact mode myself.
Really? I've been preferring compact mode over the oversized Instagram like posts
Agreed, compact is the only way to fly
I have a big screen so i don't really mind, also i don't like having to click to see an image, personal preference tho obviously
Fair point, it's completely subjective
