I feel compelled to highlight something that has been bothering me about child pageants and the blatant hypocrisy in our society. It seems that these events, which are mainly enjoyed by white Christian conservative moms, are flying below the radar for those so quick to label others as groomers (specifically children exposed to those belonging to LBGT).

I mean, what's the deal with dressing your toddler and young daughters like hookers (seriously, where do you even find those clothes for a child) and teaching them to "walk sexy" for the crowd? If that doesn't scream "grooming" and sexualizing children, I don't know what does. Yet we barely EVER hear any backlash from the same people who are oh so vocal when they want to attack others.

It's disgusting that not one right-winger has even caused an uproar or spoken out against the blatantly inappropriate nature of these child pageants. It becomes painfully clear: conservatives don't give a damn about the well-being and protection of children when they call gay and trans people "groomers." They're only motivated by spreading hate and fueling their own bigoted agenda.

I URGE you to point this out whenever you come across anyone spewing such discriminatory nonsense. Make them question their own beliefs and bring the focus back on the fact that these child pageants are doing far more harm than anyone in the LGBTQ+ community ever could.
