Meta stock doubled in value for who knows what reason recently. But too early to say it's dead. Metaverse right now is like Apple Newton. Not commercially feasible but on the road to the iPhone.

Maybe it's dead for now cuz the technology isn't good enough for now. But in 50-100 years can never see how much progress can happen. I feel metaverse is inevitable. We're just too early.

No it's not dead, it's just sleeping.

Seriously though, Metaverse is still coming. They just went at it WAY too early, when people weren't ready, software isn't ready ,not enough quality content and hardware isn't ready (too big, too heavy, too uncomfortable without heavy after-market modification, battery life too short, price). Give it another 2 decades.
