What is your opinion on "The Kerela Story" being made tax free in BJP ruled states?

What is your opinion on "The Kerela Story" being made tax free in BJP ruled states?

In my opinion why should certain movies that follow the narrative of the ruling party get special privileges? Isn't the tax money being lost belong to the citizens? Same thing was done for Kashmir files. What the hell bro.

Why the hell should states like UP be allowed to lose out on tax money for the sake of propoganda peddling?

UP is already recieving Rs.333 for every Rs. 100 of tax it provides.

Southern states not getting back enough of the tax that they generate is one thing. I agree that poorer states need to be uplifted so the country as a whole develops. But the lack of representation the southern states get in policy making is disgusting. If they had a say in this then this tax free film nonsense would not be happening.

This is quite an interesting topic. You guys must have heard of only these two movies but there have been quite a lot of movies favouring the ruling party in different states and different languages some even made a biopic webseries. There have been girls who joined isis from Kerala and there were quite forced conversions throughout Kerala since the 17th century and the Kerala story didn't just happen in Kerala either but there has not been any hard proof that muslim boys marrying hindu girls and converting them.

Seems like there indeed is proof of love jihad in kerela though.

https://article-14.com/post/love-jihad-made-in-kerala-exported-nationwide

https://thecommunemag.com/the-kerala-story-heres-the-evidence-showing-the-brutal-reality-of-love-jihad/

Although it was probably not 'forced'. Although the case that was taken up by the supreme court in 2017 ended with a marriage annulment and a very stupid statement “A girl aged 24 is weak and vulnerable, capable of being exploited in many ways.”Like really???

Actually opposition and it's suppoters are both promoting the film. The more they offer resistance to the film, the more it will spread. The more they downplay the injustice done (even if it may be exaggerated), the more public will be emotionally driven.

Normally, the movie earns the most in its release weekend and then it will slow down day by day. But the resistance offered by opposition ecosystem has helped the movie earn more.

Here are the collections of Kashmir files.

Day 1: 3.55 crore

Day 2: 8.50 crore

Day 3: 15.10 crore

Day 4: 15.05 crore

Day 5: 18.00 crore

Day 6: 19.30 crore

The movie lacked publicity. Hence, it earned less in its realise weekend. Criticism of the movie gave the movie the reach it required.

As for the tax situation, I agree it's a very cheap move but who's going to oppose it. People in this country only protest when it's about agriculture rates apparantly.

Next fast and furious movie will be about how the mughals were bad. And our local Vin diesel will make sure it goes tax free in the state.
