Haven't seen a single church in my town. Plenty of mandirs but I don't think I'll vibe with those guys ;_;

TL;DR: Be safe when making friends. Attend events, talk to your colleagues, and be outgoing.

Well, if you've moved there because of a job/studies, you make friends with your colleagues. You attend a few events with them.

Protip: if you're an introvert, make at least one extrovert friend, and stick to them at all costs in a party until you are comfortable enough to navigate around by yourself.
