Exactly... Unless the employee directly benefits from working overtime (like ESOPs, overtime wages, accepting leaves more readily, etc.) employees should not work overtime.

I've burnt myself out because I enjoyed working, and very quickly realised that motivation just goes away if you don't receive any benefit. Being an entrepreneur is the best thing that could ever happen to me.
