End Suffering
That makes no sense. From my experience, left wing people are much more likely to be vegan than the average person.

As opposed to Minds existing independently of your body. Some people believe in the existance of eternal souls and gods that do not need a body to exist. Materialism is the belief that reality is based on Matter, and that our minds exist as a consequence of the existance of our bodies.
Dialectical materialism then looks at the world and society as beeing subject to constant change, in contrast to only having recurring patterns.
At least that is my understanding, I'm also no expert.
Edit: I read about this in the "philosophy" section of this book list by @[email protected]

Gerade Infrastruktur braucht richtig lange.

How do you manage your dotfiles?
Reply in thread
IMO you shouldn't use branches for switching between configs. It makes it hard to compose and reuse your configuration.
Just imagine you have a new config file that you now want to add to all of your machines. You'd now have to commit/cherry-pick on all of your branches. Change that file? Now you have to distribute the changes again and might even get conflicts.
Additionally, many programs allow you to change your configuration directory via environment variables (usually XDG_CONFIG_HOME , I think).
So you can even keep all machine-specifig configuration files in a single repo under different prefixes for those.

You get the most out of them when working on bigger projects with many files and multiple contributers:
For changing a single file, I'd often just launch a simple editor too.
