Please report any bad posts :)
C'mon peeps...this is Linux Gaming (having fun, playing games and looking for help to get our favorite games to run properly). It's a community focused on information and support - confrontations and PvP should be reserved for "in-game" experiences only ;).

RIP Blackberry. The modern day experience just can't compete with this classic.
BBM, email and that status light ushered us into a new ‘interconnectedness’. It started the process of making cell phones indispensable parts of our lives.

Just like his version of Comfortably Numb, this version of Money is cynical and depressing. I'm not sure I'd listen to it often if I bought the album
Roger definitely has talent and contributed a lot to Pink Floyd, but David's influence is undeniable. Gilmour had a way of really capturing an audience and was able to bring them along 'for the ride' whereas Waters seemed to be trying to push something upon you whether for good or bad.

Is there a "standard" SDF tag on Mastodon?
'@SDF' should work to bring people to the right account.

Will the RHEL debacle increase Debian market share in the server space?
I don't think most corporations using RHEL are overly concerned about all the issues that Red Hat's moves/decisions have upon the general Linux community. Their main concerns are for support for in the infrastructure they already have running RHEL. As long as RHEL continues to provide services and support per their contractual agreements, I don't foresee any major shifts.
However, I would love to see a corporate shift from RHEL > Debian.

They'll do this kind of sh*t, but they won't include chargers with their Pixel phones so that they appear to care about the environment. These large corporations are just trying to hoodwink people.

Should I post news to me links here or in a dedicated commnity?
I don’t see why it should be an issue. It would be nice to see some information content from shows, and it could provide more interest and publicity for the channel.

lemmy.sdf.org API down?
I’ll just chime in and say that I’ve been having issues as well for the last 12 or so hours. Sometimes the mobile site works, sometimes it doesn’t and jumping between the desktop and Jerboa app sometimes gets me connected but it has been very inconsistent and unreliable on all platforms during this time frame.

I have to agree with you there. I'm not sure if that particular cover/pic hasn't been embellished a little.

What was the first modem you ever had? How fast was it?
Mine was a 300/1200 baud modem which if memory serves correctly ran mostly @ 300.

Switch to Linux phone?
The Pixel line of phones does allow the user to unlock its bootloader (unless it is carrier locked) and is supported by options such as GrapheneOS and CalyxOS.
I'm running GrapheneOS on my Pixel 6a, and I'm very happy with it. I'll continue to use it until a viable Linux alternative presents itself.

When is 0.0.38 coming to f-droid?
If you’re looking for faster updates, you might want to give Obtainium a try. I’ve been using it and it works great.
