Any clever "google Dork" ways in finding these "flock" devices through eg Shodan?

Mullvad seems interesting, I might switch to it.
Love Mullvad. Used for years and they've been raided, twice, by cops. No data was given to the cops and they had to return the hardware. Win win in my book!

Isn't brave supposed to be "private"?
I tend to recommend Brave for the ones who aren't technically savvy. For that, its good.
For me who is really into privacy, I've always felt uncomfortable with brave or any chrome based browser. So I go with TOR and LibreWolf

That's awesome. If I have the choice to be careful, why not take that option? Thank you! <3

Does anyone have a Faraday bag for phone that works?

Some phones, even if they are turned off, still send telemetry data.
I use GrapheneOS and for safety reasons, when I know I won't get a call, or if I have to travel somewhere discreet, I'll use one :P Works well for me!

Crane is back! I am excited for Dying Light - the Beast.
I love dying light. Played first one till the end. Nearly played the second one till the end and now this! :D Only sad part is that the company TenCent managed to grab this game and is sadly infecting it with some 'enshittification'. Hope tencent will leave them be in the future

Don't worry. Linux has Wine and can often emulate windows games. Few occasions its even better framerate than actual windows. But not as common to see :P Great recommendation!

Lemmy and VPN - no posting allowed
I have the same issue and same software. However, Lemmy hosting webservers need to have some 'malicious activity protections' and if too much malicious activity occur from the same origin of IP where you are exiting from, you won't be able to post a comment.
I use Mullvad. All I have to do is to reconnect to a different exitpoint (can still be within the same country). And then attempt to post again. Might take a couple of tries, but it will work :)
If you don't want to reconnect, read up if you can configure your VPN to use the SOCKS5 protocol. Easier to not get blocked or "are you a bot?" Captchas and so on.

I don't see how we can stop it. If they don't succeed this year, they will try the next, and if not next, they will try the year after until it works. How do we stop this? We can't. Its like cancer. You can only slow the process down by being against them. Thats it :/ we all will be surveiled and there is nothing to stop it.
All we do as privacy advocates is to jump around. If one thing becomes illegal, we jump over to something else that provides privacy once again.
We are slowly becoming cashless, but new tech arrived and we started with crypto like monero. Once crypto is banned, we find different methods in staying anonymous or private :)

What are these torrent connections?
Reply in thread
I use MullvadVPN too, done it for Many years.
Feels odd that uta because of port forwarding. Because then none would be able to download anything from me seeding.
For me, SOME are able to download form me. The ones with a client. Then the ones without a client, they simply remain at 0% and disappear, maybe reappear sometimes too

Suggestions for a replacement for PayPal
Reply in thread
I knew about this. I simply wanted something that already is accepted in most places, but also isn't PayPal but can still create virtual cards for payment. Even if they were to be leaked, no harm done because they're virtual and probably only had the exact amount of money it needed to complete a purchase (once). So it has 0 at the time of a leak or is probably removed.

RV There Yet? is a dad-core co-op game about doing a very bad job driving home from your campervan vacation
A great game. Played it through till the end and we had great laughter.
Only downside is that the developers don't plan on further developing the game.
Shame cause it has great potential and is unique. Wrote a bunch of things that I thought it lacked and maybe things that should be added to improve the game experience. How it looks now, they won't be continuing to develop the game as its 'done'. Only game breaking bugs are fixed ^^
