what are some of the best purchases you've made ?
Custom molded earplugs. As a musician and photographer who shoots bands, I can't imagine NOT having them.

Easiest way to selfhost Linkwarden on my desktop?
I’m running their docker and it works pretty well. Never have to touch it except for updates.

I've had a lot of luck with lasim. I've used it to keep about 4 accounts in sync. Works like a champ

recommendations for musician tablets & software
I've had really good luck with my iPad 7th gen and https://songbook-pro.com/. At this point i have about 2000 songs in there and it works perfectly. And I gig with it 2-3 times per week. They do have an Android version but I've never used it. I'm sure it works the same.

Affinity Photo: Calling out a hero in this subscription dystopia
I agree 100%, Affinity is amazing and certainly have my loyalty mostly BECAUSE of no sub. I will say that I need to spend more time using Affinity Photo. I know it can do all I need it to do but I've gotten so used to just using Pixelmator Pro and moving on. Both are great!

Alternative to dockerized Transmission for arr stack
If you'd like to stick with transmission, this docker works very well: haugene/transmission-openvpn

Ya it's hard to complain about it. I have just the plain iPad, and I just looked more closely and it's the 9th gen 10.2". Happy to help!
