Marathons Are Running Out Of Room. Throwing Money And Adding Days Won't Fix It.
@okwithmydecay Wouldn't it be funny if they started adding road lanes because of marathons, and not of because of cars? 🤣

How to use drafting to run a sub-3 marathon
Reply in thread
@okwithmydecay Because even the article itself admits that drafting is just a situational crutch that can sliiiightly adjust the result. The title makes it sound like it's going to explain how to build your entire marathon strategy around drafting.
Or maybe it's just me, but it feels dishonest. 🤷

Another option, in case you're already hosting a Matrix server, is Heisenbridge, which is an IRC bouncer acting as a Matrix appservice, so you see IRC channels as rooms in your Matrix client. I've been using it for a few years now, it's pretty decent.

@[email protected] IRC and mobile does not go well together without some additional help, since IRC requires a persistent TCP connection to the server, and any interruption is quite invasive. It also drains battery a lot.
But with additional layer that keeps your IRC connection alive, it's doable. It's called "an IRC bouncer". I guess IRCNow is a good place to start exploring, since they apparently offer bouncer access for free.
