What's the point of terminal file managers (mc, ranger, nnn, etc)?
It saves time when you're dealing with multiple files with different names. Also, MC is a clone of NC and I've been using either of them since early 90s. Habits.

Hey Bard, What changes to the FT8 protocol could be made to make it faster and more resilient to low signal strength?
We've already got FT4, faster, more bandwidth etc. but you are bound to lose the relisiency and it gets jammed much easier.
