The excuse for pulling this guy, and everyone in this companies security clearance is because he didn't find evidence the 2020 election was stolen?

Security clearances aren't cheap. Someone in the press should be asking the trump regime how this helps America.

Obama says he is 'deeply concerned' with the Trump administration's targeting of students, journalists and law firms

Reply in thread

When pressed for comment, trump pardoned a crypto company, hyped his 5 million dollar card with his face on it which bypasses the visa process, and gave every chemical company permission to continue poisoning everyone.

Trump is taking anyone's money he can and destroying America as quickly as possible in a way that only benefits Russia.

Fuck your concern. I'm OUTRAGED. People need to fucking find a way to fix this.

YouTube shorts disproportionately promotes alt-right content according to this experiment

I realized a while back that social media is trying to radicalize everyone and it might not even be entirely the oligarchs that control its fault.

The algorithm was written with one thing in mind: maximizing engagement time. The longer you stay on the page, the more ads you watch, the more money they make.

This is pervasive and even if educated adults tune it out, there is always children, who get Mr. Beast and thousands of others trying to trick them into like, subscribe and follow.

This is something governments should be looking at how to control. Propaganda created for the sole purpose of making money is still propaganda. I think at this point that sites feeding content that use an algorithm to personalize feeds for each user are all compromised.

Lack of ships and cargo at the Port of Seattle

Its a bit late for the people who's leopards are eating their face to get upset that they voted for the leopards.

Especially when everyone else told them specifically "that leopard will eat your face."

If you voted for trump, quit crying and start protesting. Its basically the last hope we have of a peaceful resolution to this problem.

Senator says trip to El Salvador was to support Kilmar Ábrego García’s due process

I think I know what the next entry in the playbook is. After a suitable amount of protests they will free Mr. García, but not allow him to come back to the United States. That still ruins his life because his family is in the US, so it's right up their alley on cruetly.

This will pacify a percentage of the protestors who will be tired and happy for a small win. It will "pacify" the courts, if they're not already in on this play. The news will also step back because the see the story as concluded.

We need to be demanding justice for all 200 deportees. I know they latched on to Mr. García because he's innocent, but for all we know they are all innocent. We need to stay mad until they've all had a day in court.

Honestly nothing short of an impeachment and conviction of this administration will restore my faith in this countries justice system.

Elon Musk admits email to government workers was a ruse

Anyone who works directly for a Musk company should quietly start looking for another job.

People in unions should strike right now. People who aren't in unions should also strike, but I don't expect miracles.

This is the biggest asshole boss indicator. There should never be a situation where someone in power "jokes" about firing.

He needs a very quick financial lesson in not fucking with his employees. One week of work stoppage across every company he owns should do it.

Trump Press Secretary Hits Back at French Politician Wanting The Statue of Liberty Returned: Be Grateful You’re ‘Not Speaking German’

Reply in thread

Since shes asking France to be greatful, I'm guessing that she personally was responsible for the allies victory in Europe. If she is to be believed, then I am extremely greatful to her for all that she's done for France, and the world.

What's that? I've just been informed that she in fact was not yet born when WW2 occurred, and hasn't done a thing noteworthy in her life for France, the United States or even herself. Furthermore, it has been brought to my attention that she is a sycophant and a traitor.

Another case of thinking your football teem's win is your win, or in this case, the past victories or a county you happened to be born in are your own.

Agriculture Sec. Brooke Rollins Says The European Union Is Using ‘Fake Science And Unsubstantiated Claims To Not Take U.S. Products’

Its not the EU's job to buy your products. The reason doesn't matter. If they don't want your shit they won't buy your shit.

Be better. Make a product people want at a price they're willing to pay. Stop whining.

Also maybe don't alienate the entire world then get mad that nobody will talk to you on the playground.

You rolled in this shit. Now you can either clean it up or accept the consequences.

Trump Is Breaking Things We Can’t Just Fix

Its more than just foreign relations.

The reason for continuous military, space, energy and other development isn't just to push the state of the art, and its not just a jobs program. If you stop building things you forget how. You can still build something but it won't be nearly as good because the people who learned the mistakes the first time around have all retired. Or in this case fired.

We will have at least a 4 year gap when this is over.

Switching gears, do you think infrastructure will be funded? Falling 4 more years behind in maintenance isn't going to do any favors. This includes federally maintained dams and bridges, but also levees for storm protection near the coasts. Trump will throw you some paper towels after the next hurricane, then withdraw funding for FEMA.

How about the EPA? Are they going to continue to handle superfund sites? No? Well you can expect some real problems from this to bear fruit in a couple of years. Lawsuits against manufacturers doesn't bring your home value back, or stop the cancers.

I'm mentioning these things because while people are seeing the damage done by alienating allies, and that is concerning to some, this doesn't matter to trumps base, who have a particularly America centric viewpoint.

People need to be aware that the problems he brings aren't just foreign and that if something doesn't change soon there will be nothing left of the America they knew.

Trump Defunds School Lunches In Maine Over Transgender People

What can we do that harms millions of kids while trying to only harm a few kids? Take away their meals? Great, let's do that.

Should teach those kids a lesson. Next time don't be born in America if you want a safe school experience.

There should be a judge immediately putting a stop to this. Republican or Democrat. It should be political suicide to even threaten to take a kids lunch away. What the fuck is wrong with these people?

Big Oil Lobbying Congress For Immunity From Climate Lawsuits

I don't remember any scenes in Mad Max where there was a happy rich person living in their perfectly intact mansion with servants and a well manicured lawn.

The solution to this problem isn't to ask a corrupt government to save you. They've already proven their word is worth jack by reversing policies of the previous administration. You should instead be trying everything possible to stop climate change. Including throwing money at the problem.

Whatever's left of society won't care that you're immune to lawsuits. People who have never seen a tomato don't care if you worked hard to get your fancy stuff. They're just hungry.

If a criminal says a cop planted drugs or whatever on them why don't they ask for a finger print test? And vice versa a cop could also request it to clear up everything?

Besides all the other arguments, fingerprints aren't like the movies. You need a reasonably flat surface to get a fingerprint from.

Getting a fingerprint from a house or a car to prove that someone was there at some point, any time in the past, is possible. Getting a fingerprint from a plastic baggy to prove someone held it would be much harder.

The distortions would make it extremely hard to match against a database. If they compare it to you then it might show a match, so if you're a suspect they might make a direct comparison. If they compare it to the cop? Remember the cop is innocent until proven guilty, so they can't compel them to give fingerprints for comparison. Yes, they could be in a database, but remember the distortion makes it hard to automatically find this.

Any lab work has a cost, and police are lazy. They aren't going to spend time or money trying to solve a case. They go with best effort.

Alito's dissent in deportation case says court rushed to block Trump with middle-of-the night order

Its funny, in a sad kind if way, how slow the courts are 99% of the time. But now that someone wants to invoke obscure laws that deport people without a trail, apparently the court is way too hasty to deny that privilege?

Actually: Just fucking tell me why tren de aragua, a name I can't spell and have never heard of, is such a threat that you can't house their people in existing US prisons?

You don't deport criminals. We never have deported criminals. We jail them until they're either sentenced and imprisoned, or an agreement is made to extradite them so they can be tried by their native country, or released with the understanding they can't come back to America.

This farcical bullshit should be called out and everyone in congress should be up their own ass trying to fix this problem. Trump is wrecking the economy and terrorising both citizens and non-citizens.
