Jerboa v0.0.36-alpha

I seem to be unable to change my feed view or sort type either using the drop down at the top or the menu, and changing it in the settings seem to just revert back to all/active as soon as I press save. (Have checked using an account on an 0.18.0 instance.)

How do you obtain your music?

I use Jellyfin, and this was my first home server. Think if I managed it it has to be relatively easy for most people comfortable enough with computers. Probably slightly more involved than Plex though I imagine!

Breezy Weather - A Fork of the Outdated but Excellent Geometric Weather

This looks really nice. Was using Prognoza for a while, but ended up back with the BBC Weather app here in the UK as I couldn't find a good open source app that showed allergy/pollen information.

This does seem to show allergens for some areas, though not all. Possibly a bug given the provider (AccuWeather) does provide it for each area on their website. If that's fixed I'd probably be able to use it exclusively.

Don't want to derail this as definitely wrong thread - but can personally recommend Aberystwyth (where I went) and Bangor which both supposedly have good accountancy courses and are both good student towns (high concentration of students to locals during term time). Cardiff and Swansea are ranked a bit higher though, and are also good choices if he wants the busyness of a major city.

FOSS Android Keyboards

Reply in thread

AnySoftKeyboard Canary (the beta) was updated in March 2023. While I'm hopeful for some of the FOSS keyboards mentioned by others, for the time being I find AnySoftKeyboard to still be the most complete FOSS alternative to proprietary boards.

What do you use to track your reading?

I was using Storygraph for a little while once I decided I no longer wanted to use Goodreads due to being owned by Amazon.

Then I tried Openreads for a short time, before realising I missed some of the social elements of the first two.

Finally settled on a local BookWyrm instance, Rambling Readers, which I'm happy with. It sometimes requires a bit of manual editing of books, but the more people use BookWyrm and contribute, the less often that should be necessary.
