Yep, there's a lot of things to get used to coming over from Strive but it's pretty fun. I think I still prefer Strive, but I've been playing SF6 more since it's new and it's just so much easier to get into matches.

Are you using wayland? As far as I'm aware X11 can't handle different refresh rates for different monitors so it defaults to the lower one.

Yeah I more or less figured out the changes to delineate the 50% line, but I wasn't sure about the blue fire on top. If you look at the intensity of the flame at 2:25 vs. 2:30, you can see a difference even though they both look like full burst bars.
I know they made comments about changing/enhancing regular bursts so I was wondering if it had to do with that but I'm not sure.

I never played Xrd so I'm a little ignorant but he looks sick. Looking forward to the character guide to shed some light on how he actually plays.

Yeah especially after trying SF6 and Granblue, the lack of frame data is noticeable. Maybe that's what they're going to add to make the game feel less complex lol.

The post makes it sound like the new mechanics & new moves are what's making the game more complex, since it's adding more options. No idea what they plan to do to though.

The kbin pop_os magazine seems to also be modded by an official mod/employee of system76. I guess they were still testing the waters and for now it seems they decided on lemmy.world. Interestingly there's also kbin.social/m/System76 with no lemmy.world alternative.

So far, it actually looks ok? I think the most jarring part for me was when he said gum-gum instead of gomu gomu. And maybe I just haven't been keeping up but it's coming out a lot sooner than I thought it would.

So the video said they're giving new specials to 6 characters, and they showed 4. Wonder what the other 2 are. It also said the specials for other characters are coming later, which I hope is not too long from now or the balance may be a little weird.
The offense and defense options look cool too, it'll be interesting to see how they get used.
