Linux kernel security threat CopyFail (CVE-2026-31431)
I don't know if there is any Pop_OS! dev on this forum. But, I hope that they are aware of this.

Guys, I've been trying all kinds of stuff to have the Hearthstone Deck Tracker work on my Pop!_OS 24.04 to play Battlegrounds.
I've tried using Lutris, with all kinds of runners, and this last weekend I've tried with Bottles.
In Lutris it would run in a separate window that was not overlapping, and it seemed only to show (stuck) only the first screen in hero selection.
In Bottles it did run, but super laggy and still in a separate window non-overlapping. So posting here hoping someone could share a configuration that would enable me to run Hearthstone Deck Tracker :D
Other wise; my first Linux-experience ever - and I love it!
Work stuff easy to setup, CS2 runs fine enough (just having cheater issues due to Faceit not supporting Linux and Valve just sucks) - and I only had to boot in Windows to play Hearthstone Battlegrounds with the Deck Tracker.
(Also having a small issue with my two screens not turning on properly at every boot, have to reconnect cables until they actually show something)
Upgraded from 22.04 to 24.04. Now stuck on a loading screen for 22.04?
I did as the title says. After the update, I landed on a loading screen for 22.04. I thought it was part of the update process, but it seemed strange that the version wasn't correct. Is this normal?
The loading screen is all gray, with pop os version 22.04 written on it. There are 4 small dots underneeth the text that change colours from time to time.
How to find/format second hard drive after install?
I recently made the jump on installing Linux/Pop OS on my main streaming and gaming laptop for the first time.
The laptop has two hard drives, with linux being installed on the smaller SSD. I've backed up all of my data before the install, so that's not a worry. I'm just interested in having access to the 1TB HD.
Thank you in advance!
Cosmic terminal passwords, how to use them?
So I am moving into cosmic and liking it so far. In the terminal I see that there is a way to save passwords, but how do I then use them?
Like if i was going to ssh somewhere how do i tell ssh to get the password from the terminal?
For your all-AMD build
Found the Ryzen wallpaper years ago, added the Radeon logo.
Aargh. My _official saga takes a different turn...
Aargh. My @pop_os_official saga takes a different turn...
I use a legacy #Java desktop app called #JMRI to control my model railway. It's clunky and the UI is awful but it's the only tool that does the job.
Unfortunately it won't play nice with high density displays and won't display properly on #popos. So I have to revert to #KDE #Plasma 6 because of its fractional scaling abilities. Bye @pop_os , hello #Fedora.
Is the upgrade from 22.04 to the new shiny cosmic version "stable"
I have used popos for many years on my desktop and laptop and I'm a little worried about upgrading to the 24.04 version and was planning to wait until mid Jan. when hopefully the upgrade will be officially "stable", i.e. with a nice little upgrade-notification. But now Spotify has released a version that requires a newer version of glibc so currently the apt-version of Spotify won't run on my machines. So, how has it been for you? Have you upgraded without problems or did you do a fresh install ?
