Lemmy is popular nowadays, yet is losing its active users
Some dropoff after initial hype is normal. Now we just continue as usual until reddit pisses people off again.

If Lemmy and Mastodon continues to get popular, we will eventually get Instance wars.
I mean, we already see small skirmishes here and there.
As long as there are more than two humans left, we'll always find something stupid to argue about

I mean, a lot of real people do that with prostitutes too.
How can the organ that requires the most blood to run function with a broken heart?

Those of you who shower barehanded: Do you lather and then use your hand, or just shove the soap wherever it needs to go?
There's liquid soap, you know. Didn't need to shove anything inside anywhere to stay clean.

Could this become a "Caring is Sharing" sub, just like the old days
As someone who got into piracy when torrent was the new kid on the block, yes please!
My clients are set to seed to 5.0 by default, and I sometimes set things I really like to perma seed. I love seeing my upload ticking up and knowing that I'm a contributing member of the swarm.
It really saddened me to see comments in /r/piracy where people complaining about having to seed on private trackers are voted up massively.
The mindset is much more "consumer" than "community" nowadays, it seems. Me, me, me. Mine, mine, mine.
I fully support a mindset where we look beyond ourselves. A love for sharing is what makes a pirate community thrive.
