This may not work, but have you tried shining an external light through the (mechanical) dishwasher window, while the process in going on? Potentially while turning down lights in the room.

did the 2me42me4meirl (i may have misspelled that) community migrate to lemmy? if so, that sounds like a story that might fit there.
depending on the stiry, it could also fit in somewhere like the' raised by narcissists' community/support-group.
withe way, good practice would still probably be to add a content warming first, if you do decide to share that story somewhere.

on a related, but perhaps lighter note, : if anyone wants to hear a tale, involving a worker that succeeds in quitting an exploitative job, and goes off to do something better with their time, you might watch/listen to : https://piped.video/watch?v=WNuv0_MLrKg (and to link to the post thurther, the setting for the somewhat dystopia start of this story, as for the post above , is also in India. )

Why do many folks play follow the leader even into adulthood?
perhaps, somewhat related, a place to point out the example of tge republic of San Marino. They have, and have had, since an horn't times: a system of co leadership at the highest national level of government.:+. Two people, elected, jointly holding the position, no singular figure, (and even those two, are changed, at most, every six months on a regular basis, and I belive they can't serve more than one term consecutively, if at all).
Theyve had, San Marino, a long and sucequite sucessfully history. Perhaps the only country then known to survive the the conquest of many surrounding regions on the peninsula. No civil wars, and no transitions of power of changes of government in wchich anybody seems to have been so much as killed or seriously injured. And the system hof co government, and rotation aahs lasted a long time, the longest lasting continuous republic to exist today, I think it's supposed to be. San Marino.

In my defence, I'm new to this keyboard and have big fingers. Also, although I know aof it's existence, I haven't attended any sde I schools myself.
My formal language education Is all quite conventional, with conventional leadership structures and decision making processes, and all. So please don't let that detract from the subjects mentioned.(i really should remember to check spelling, before posting, though 😅)
Anyway, I'm glad that sde style alternatives, and how they relate to the question, may be of intrest.

if they do end up keeping it, there are artists metalworker, that will agree to turn things like that into custom art and things, if requested. edit:link to one: https://www.titanium-implant-jewelry.com/titanium-implant-jewelry-designs.html
There one in the netherland , I think it is, that offers the service.(they also accept and work with meral that was removed when yiu were still alive, through surgery for example). There seem to be some beautiful examples.
... So, that might be of intrest of intrsst, when writing a will, and to whomever you end up passing that metal to, as a n option, and anlther resin to hold onto those metallic artefacts and keepsakes.

Arranging to having yiur future postmortem body used to fertilise plants, is a really cool option, in my opinion. A green/natural/eco funeral is one way to, basically, do that, and it's pretty widely avalable too, in most places.
And cardboard coffins work, and tend to be accepted by mat green burial sites. Woven willow coffins, untreated wood coffins, as well as just classic biodegradable shrouds, are several other options that used for this. On that subject,Hheres some resources that might be helpful with planning for a green burial, ahead of time (and ensuring that thise wishes are carried out later) , for those that this appeals to and that haven't allready: https://www.orderofthegooddeath.com/resources/green-burial/ (the order also has information on n. o. r/terramation/composting, and on aquamatuon/water-cremation options, both of wchich are compatible with the 'become plant ferileser if yiu wnat to' idea) and https://www.greenburialcouncil.org/interactive-maps.html
And to mention green burials in another jurisdiction, , http://www.naturaldeath.org.uk/index.php?page=find-a-natural-burial-site
Hopefully some of that may be helpful, or intresting. tdl
tdlr:arranging for a simple post death thing for yourself, and becoming fertiliser for there's, is cool, and generally very doable too.

There's a vice news interview about it, from some years ago, if I recall.

green/natural burials are cool.
Heres some resources, links anyway, that might be helpful with planning, if you wnat to and havent allready, for a green burial,( ahead of time, and ensuring that thise wishes are carried out later) , : 💀🌳 🌳🌲🌳🌲🌲🌱 https://www.orderofthegooddeath.com/resources/green-burial/ https://www.greenburialcouncil.org/interactive-maps.html
and, for another jurisdiction, :http://www.naturaldeath.org.uk/index.php?page=find-a-natural-burial-site
💀🌳 🌳🌲🌳🌲🌲🌱 also worth mentioning,: if the intention is to go back to to the Erth as soon as possible, then the! not yet as widy avalable, but becoming more avalable repidly) 'natural organic reduction' could be a way to do that, similarly to that green burial, but often more quickly. they can make the whole decomposition happen o a highly controlled environment, conditions monitored and adjusted of needed for ideal decomposition conditions...
if that sound interesting see https://recompose.life/, for the company that started the practice, and offers the service.
And green funerals, a more widely avalable, and also very cool, option.

‘Horrific’: 189 bodies found and removed from Colorado ‘green’ funeral home

Well, you coild probably arrange for the soil/compost, resulting from that teconposting, to be used to grow some grain (or other native plants that might appeal to the local wildlife) , and then those could be fed to some birds 🐦 🐦 🐦, perhaps on a mountaintop 🌄, even. (i remember a story told at, I think this wasduring kne session at the 'body composting conference', about some peo friend and family who were left soil depositing some of it some quite remote places.) You could make a wole ceremony out of it, if that was desired.
It's a few extra steps, but maybe somewhat of a similar result, in a certain sense. And then the extra steps could give extra time for the grieving orocess, and link with the whole cycles of life thing, you know.
Anyway, that's just an idea. Hope you, and everyone, can find one that works for you, and find a way to have itgise wishes fulfilled later on. The option thts offered by recompose is cool, more options can certainly be good.

heres some points I found from a quick searcb: (specifically note point 3,... and... in another sense point 7):
"... 1. Drink more water to reduce bloating
Bloating can cause discomfort and make menstrual cramps worse. While it may sound counterintuitive, drinking water can reduce bloating during your period and alleviate some of the pain it causes. Also, drinking hot water can increase blood flow throughout your body and relax your muscles. This can lessen cramps caused by uterine contractions.
Certain types of herbal tea have anti-inflammatory properties and antispasmodic compounds that can reduce the muscle spasms in the uterus that cause cramping. Drinking chamomile, fennel or ginger tea is an easy, natural way to relieve menstrual cramps. Plus, these herbal teas can have other benefits, like stress relief and helping with insomnia.
Some foods can offer natural relief for cramps, and they taste great. Anti-inflammatory foods can help promote blood flow and relax your uterus. Try eating berries, tomatoes, pineapples and spices like turmeric, ginger or garlic. Leafy green vegetables, almonds,... can also help reduce inflammation.
While a brownie or french fries might sound delicious, foods high in sugar, trans fat and salt can cause bloating and inflammation, which makes muscle pain and cramps worse. Grab a banana or another piece of fruit to fight sugar cravings, or go for unsalted nuts if you want something more savory.
...
Vitamin D can help your body absorb calcium and reduce inflammation. Other supplements, including omega-3, vitamin E and magnesium, can help reduce inflammation and might even make your periods less painful. For best results, take supplements every day, not just during your period. Also, because some supplements interact with medications, be sure to ask your doctor before taking anything new.
A little heat can help your muscles relax, improve blood flow and relieve tension. Try sitting with a heating pad, taking a hot shower or relaxing in a hot bath.
If you’re in pain, exercise might be the last thing on your mind. But even gentle exercise releases endorphins that make you feel happy, reduce pain and relax your muscles. Fifteen minutes of yoga, light stretching or walking might be all you need to feel the physical and mental benefits of exercise. And if exercise is already a part of your routine, did you know that tracking your period can help you improve athletic performance? 9. Reduce stress to improve mental and physical period symptoms
Stress may make cramps worse. Use stress relief techniques like meditation, deep breathing, yoga or your own favorite way to relieve stress. If you’re not sure how to relieve stress, try guided imagery. Simply close your eyes, take a deep breath and imagine a calm, safe place that’s significant to you. Stay focused on this space for at least a few minutes while you take slow, deep breaths... "

in general, agreed on the point about coffins, and using land just for butial into perpetuity is not a great tradition.
If and where it's just about the use of a box, and/or about the using of land space solely for burial, then one other option they can adress bith of these is 'green conservation butkal'.
The land is used for nature and ecosystem restoration and conservation at the same time, and there is no box/coffin required at all. They can also sometimes be less expensive than conventional burial (with the box and the embalming and so on) or even conventional cremation. Some more about the subject at:

Just to add to this: there is, although seeing it thuroughly implemented is comparatively uncommon, there are the practices of 'democratic education' and 'self directed education'. The sudbury valley school in massechusets is one, relatively well known, example of thiese.
In those context, the trends are, in many ways, turned on their head. They, sudbury valles school as an example, havee a website, and a a youtube channel(, accesible vía That froendly alternative frontend that I can't rember just now) , with intervies with some alumni of the school, and some published books listed with accounts from other svs graduates.
Just wanted to add, that the phenomenon described with in the comment replied to, although all too common, are not universal., nor always are they the only option.
edit: this page gives n OK overview of the self directed edu things : https://www.self-directed.org/sde . Pretty sure it can be seen as related to the question and the above reply.

just over the border, more or less (geography isn't neccecarily my subject) , in Washing. State, you know the one, yiu can get ylarrange for your future corpse to undergo a relatively new and novel disposition option known as 'natural organoc reduction', for the comparatively low low price of only.. around 6 to 10 k, alst o checked., includong shrouds, body storage, tests ect.
That's significantly cheaper than the avarage conventional funeral cknsts, not Jay on van iver, but in the bordering region too., and there's no ongoing upkeep costsas, there might be with a plot. after aroind six weeks, its basically done, if you wnat it that way.
And, perhaos as or more importantly the novelty can be an important aspect for some people. A burial method that very ffew others, so far, ahve hmade use of (although very much tested, and regulated, and found genuine) , as can the positiveenvironmental aspects be appealing too to aome.
aTdlr: nyway see www.recompose.life for more details of, one of, the options that could help to circumvent any need to pay any, highly overinflated and likely extortionate, rates for a funeral plot. No buing real death estate required.

I don't know about that one, bit I know of a somewhat similar option. Yiu can. in so. e states, havarranhe to Hove your body wrapped in a... fabric shroud, amd laid into a .. vat filled with organic material, usually woodchils and the like(wood hips are sometimes consodered a waste or a garbage product) , then after after a few weeks you ahve compost or soil basically, that can be used for land conseravtion ect.
I might add, to yiur point, that representatives of the Catholic church have repeatedly opposed this posted etah option from becoming avakabke, on the ground that get this they considerit to be undignified', (granted, they're just about the only ones who take thatbosition, one they know moanybof the detail and context, but it's a substantial and influential organisation), and then random passerby who doesn't know anything other about the process than a sensational news headline on might well condiser it undignified too, in the moment anyway.
And of course, you could consider it to be as if you had arranged for your foture corpse to be turned into literal dirt, dirt, and then what could be more gloriously u dignified than that.
... more on that subject at: https://www.orderofthegooddeath.com/resources/green-death-technology/#natural-organic-reduction and at www.recompose.life (I shiuld warn, neigher of these resources make the process sound or look larocularky undignified, but then these things are a matter of perspective after all, in some ways)

I like this idea. I might also reccomend, among other, perhaps similar, ideas to get a similar effect, and make use in this way of they ground floor house :.
-'tiny free library.'. especially if there isn't one nearby allready. there's quite a lot of fun designs for these our there, to fit whatever style ore space. and, you could add halloween themed book to it, or any books pretty much. local bord banned a book you liked? add a copy to your local tiny library. ads 2,.. and some complementary skeleton themed bookmarks.
--a bench. nice place to rest. maybe addaa tree or aomwthing for ao. e shade of in a especially warm region. benches are fun, or can be. and yiu can paint it in oranges and bakam strops, with bays, and pkinh.
... -ooh, and you coild be like that one, well probably more than one, house that keeps up some halloween decor for longer. a way to signal to potential trick or teeter and show personality oerhaps?
-+-idk, hallowwn is fun., for many ppl. happy nextaand future Halloweens. Halloween 🦇 🎃 🦇 🎃
