https://www.openmediavault.org/. It’s a slimmed down version of the updated Debian distro, and is very user friendly for setup and maintaining. Active community and constant updates. I use Seafile, MStream, calibre, and soon Yggdrasil for mesh VPN. I use NFS, Nginx proxy.
