I haven't been using Reddit since the API stuff happened last summer, but when the GB announcement #2 came out recently, I visited the exjw subreddit and there is some great stuff going on there. I'm DF'd and have been out for a long time, but the posts over there have had me both sad and angry.

There was a time not that long ago when you could count the amount of decent British underground bands on just one hand but now they seem to be popping up every other day. Outer Head are both decent and British so go check 'em out.

From Doom Charts: BLACK RAINBOWS at their absolute best. Listeners will not only find all of their signature high-octane, stoner rock and heavy psych, but so much more! BLACK RAINBOWS also shows a more melodic and softer side. Not only one of my favorite albums of the year so far, but arguably their best work to date.

This is something that I made last fall, I think. Used Midjourney with the --tile parameter. The prompt was something about concrete and lichen. When tiled, it has some strong horizontal directionality. A person could always rotate it if they needed vertical or diagonal.

From their site: Replica Jesus was established in 2016 by lead guitarist Howard Rigg, bass player Lee Barber and drummer Stu Cheeseman. They quickly realized they needed someone to front the band, with this position eventually falling to Mike Knight who has established himself at the helm as main vocalist and second guitarist.

Based across Derby and Nottingham their sound combines a plethora of influences combining the heavy riffs of 90’s stoner rock, the fuzz and feedback of grunge and the catchiness and groove of 70’s heavy rock. Influences include, Kyuss, Refused, The Bronx and The Jesus Lizard to name a few.

Sometimes cool stuff happens when you spell something wrong. The entire prompt was one word: avacadopunk. Give it a shot, curious what y'all get with that prompt.

There are so many influences present in this band. I can hear old Sleep, early Black Sabbath and maybe even some Kansas and a bunch more. Give this one a spin!

Yet another solid album from Gozu.

Not the fanciest one, but wanting to try a cheaper one before I get a good one.
