Clearly!! I'd do crazy things for a burrito too, maybe that's why they kept it a secret 🤔

Yeah they've needed a lot of that recently. Been some other issues going on in their life that I'm trying to support them through but we definitely deal with pain in different ways. I'm an open book whereas they're very quiet. Maybe this was a therapeutic burrito. I hope so.

Feelings were things women had. Alice was a woman. Therefore she had feelings. Her feelings told her to shout at Bob. She thought about it for an moment, and then shouted at Bob. Angrily. Very angrily. She said “Because my feelings are telling me to say this.”
Incredible

Not far off my CV in terms of length and variety!! Seeing stuff like this makes me feel better about my chequered employment history. Glad to hear things sound settled for you now! Hoping that'll be me soon too. I actually quite like training people so I'm hoping that's where I end up. Especially if it means management leave me alone haha.

What subreddits would you like to see replicated on the Fediverse?

r/france was really fun to hang around for language learning reasons! I loved their sense of humour. Their thread about whether the subreddit should blackout (i.e. strike) over what was going on was absolutely hilarious. It went something like:
Mods: Hey r/france we're wondering whether we should strike on... Redditors: Yes.

"Trust' and 'distrust' buttons -rather than 'like' and 'dislike' buttons- could reduce spread of misinformation on social media, experimental study suggests
Thank you for the trigger warning haha!
This would be a great feature to roll out, mostly because it encourages people to think critically in a way that's as engaging (addictive?) as clicking "like" on a post. Great idea!

Anybody else knit or crochet?
Late to this post, I love crochet! I haven't had much time to do it recently but there's a simple scarf/shawl that I've been been ticking away on for about two years haha. I'm looking forward to having some more free time soon and getting back into it in earnest. Can't wait to see everyone's projects here :)

For context, NCBI is the National Council for the Blind of Ireland. It's an NGO.

How do you usually get new books to read?
I make poor financial decisions haha. I used to live not far from a library though and that was handy for finding books I wouldn't have read otherwise.

No diet that I'm aware of, so hiding it from me doesn't make sense from that POV. Maybe they just didn't want to share??

Do you have any recommendations on where to start with friendship bracelets? Like online resources or anything like that. I haven't made them in years, would love to make some for festival season :)
