Look, I agree for the most part. Fuck FB and X and all the rest to hell. But organizers know that you need the most people you can get to have a chance of making a difference. That means you use every tool available for outreach. I've seen protests organized entirely on non-corporate platforms and they are... Small. You don't see those in the news and people driving by generally ignore them. If you can get the hype going through tiktok or facebook or whatever and get hundreds of people on board you can bring attention and make a difference. Now something I've seen done is using them to pull more people and then moving those people to decentralized options.

I really think that ignoring the hard science is insane. Intersex people are a real thing. If we ignore the existence or trans people (common practice in the US unfortunately) there are still so many variations of intersex births that a decent amount of genders assigned at birth are more a vague guess for the doctor.

Misleading. There is so much slop made from free assets just thrown together or AI programmed messes and such on steam that it should read "little more than 1% of games on steam are worth your time" indie devs get a decent amount of love, especially at launch. But steam has such a backlog of games available that it gets pretty wild. If we're counting DLCs, OSTs, and games, I'm really not surprised.

Please leave this fella alone. I know of him. We really do have some odd characters here on lemmy and he's one of them. Don't quote me but I'm pretty sure this is not someone on drugs or playing around he's genuinely schitzo and often struggles with thoughts of suicide. He doesn't need any more trouble or attention. Very different and not really able to interact with the world in the way the majority of us do. Try not to bully. I know there's a lot of "why doesn't he just?" And "he shouldn't be here" but I really urge you to just let him freak in whatever space as long as it doesn't mess with anyone else too much. Feel free to check out his posts and comments for your own entertainment if seeing someone else's troubled mind is your jam just keep it to yourself. If the admins of his instance wanna ban him you can appeal to them I guess.

Let me clarify. I'm an imbecile who normally comments on porn and trash memes. I didn't put much thought into it besides "PSA: we're inclined to believe things that align with us! Make sure to check!" Because I gotta remind myself often because I believe most things I like. and think people also might appreciate being reminded. I just think too often in binary terms because (see above) I'm an idiot and it's all easier that way. But I'm always trying to grow and do better so I'll take your critique of my comment to heart.
