I wouldn't even leave a gun by it. That's just giving it a weapon to use against you.

Why all of a sudden tech companies are not being favorable to their users?

Yeah it's mostly investment people that have a lot of money and are basically the ones pulling the strings. Because if they don't like you then the value of your company goes down and poof you were deeply s***

Twitter refuses to pay for arbitration it forced on 891 ex-employees, suit says
That dude is wild. He also got defaulted on his building lease. And hasn't paid his google cloud bills. Rumor is that google reached to spaceX(another of musk's companies) and say if you don't pay your other bill we will close both. And allegedly that's another reason they implemented the Twitter paywall

Dude I discovered reddit because bacon reader. Hell I didn't even knew there was an official app. I NEED the tile scrolling,it's such a pain to have to go back and scroll to the next post instead of just slide from one to another. Maybe we can send him an email? I know he has like a weather app or something?

Economic inequality cannot be explained by individual bad choices, study finds
Reply in thread
I was actually talking to him about that...while I understand that socialism it's not achievable due to human nature. And that objectively speaking capitalism is the economic system that causes the most grow of net happiness and abundance...it seems like on a large enough scale it tends to self destruct? Maybe a more balanced approach might bring success on the long run

Don’t be put off by riots, France tells tourists and foreign investors
Yeah we might be totally fucking our citizens and have problems with our democracy.... But don't let that deter you from coming to visit and spend your money.
I always find it wild how some places can be two sided. The side you show to turista and the real side. Just like Brasil, Cuba or dubai

Ellen Pao served as the interim CEO of Reddit from 2014 to 2015. During her tenure, Reddit banned several large communities, including r/fatpeoplehate, for violating their terms of service. This subreddit, which was dedicated to disparaging overweight individuals, was one of the most active and popular on the site. Following this action, Pao was widely criticized and compared to a dictator, with many users accusing her of censorship.
In July 2015, Victoria Taylor, who coordinated Reddit's IAMAS, was dismissed, and Pao was blamed for this as well. Protests and attack campaigns against Pao ensued, eventually leading to her resignation.
However, years later, it was revealed that Pao was not responsible for these actions. She was not the one who fired Taylor - that was Alexis Ohanian, Reddit's founder and Executive Chairman, who had more authority than Pao. Furthermore, Pao was not in favor of banning subreddits. She had voiced her opposition to this, but was overruled by Ohanian and Reddit co-founder Steve Huffman (aka spezz). Despite this, Pao was unfairly blamed and criticized for these decisions.

I was talking to a friend that is an economist,he is more right leaning. As we both come from a socialist country. And we have seen the bad things of the left, but living in America I have seen way too much of the right too. There's this notion(that I don't agree with) that inequality it's just a byproduct of a healthy economic system. Because the logic is that,if we don't give economic entities everything on a silver platter (giving them bailouts and letting them fuck people) they will throw a tantrum and economy will colapse.

French Gov Wants to Inject Domain Blocking Lists Directly into Web Browsers
How do they know if the browser it's on France? Do all browsers need to have it? What's stopping them to use that as a sensoring tool for not allowing people to access our website talking s*** about the government? It always starts with something well intention but ends up being just a tool to get more control
