Buster Keaton said this gag from Hard Luck (1921) got some of the biggest laughs of his career. For years the ending was believed missing before being rediscovered in a Russian archive print.

A small but incredible shot! The Wall Street building, absorbing the capital (the factories/transports), and shredding money at the same time as a machine. It's beautiful!

Is there anyone working on a federated equivalent to letterboxd?
I’ve been looking for something like this for a while !! There’s some self hosted solutions alternatives for trakt, but I don’t want the hassle… A fedi letterbox like would be really amazing! (Imagine integrating it with Jellyfin to rate your films after watching, sharing those reviews and film lists on mastodon, pixelfed and Lemmy, a dream would come true)

I'd saw off my leg for my grocery store to start carrying something besides shitty IPA's and Budweiser
Still missing c/beerporn on lemmy! Anyone interested in creating it? :)

Home Alone 2 - Lost In New York, Chris Columbus (1992)
You may ask me why I chose this frame from this film.
I found it curious that the family was watching “It's a Wonderful Life” dubbed in Spanish while on holiday in Florida. This contrasts with today's times, when immigrants are deported and democracy is destroyed by values that “It's a Wonderful Life” denounced as fragile but yet, essential for everyone. Not only in this festive season, but every day of the year.
A frame within a frame, I thought this would be, although unusual, the most pertinent film frame for this festive season. Happy Holidays!

Yes, I would be glad to unlock the train and build a train station as the firt thing in my city and develop after/around it, seems so more natural. In CS1 it doesn't work as cims always arrive by car.

What Henri means when he says: "you can create intricate lines that skip traffic jams and busy intersections, they no longer need to go directly from stop to stop" min:2:08? Maybe if a bus stop is empty, the bus will not stop ?
Also, the rain scenes (especially during the night) are awesome!

Yes! And I hope they have some impact in the city (maybe strikes in public transportation, cargo and other services like hospital or police strikes). I would love a SC4 feature where if you gave too much money for the police, people would start complaining about it.
I hope so, as they are city development unlockables, they must have some mechanics more than a place to tourists to visit.

Completely agree with that, but you’re not expecting me to mod various communities changing accounts and instances all the time, do you?

Updates + Feedback
I updated the community sidebar with a nice GIF by KAKTUZBOY. Tell me what you think!
I also created a new 'Family Communities' category for 'Music' with related communities on Lemmy. If you're a mod of a music community and want to see it there, send me a PM.
The 'Family Communities' are now organized with 'tabs', so it's easier to read and keeps the sidebar smaller.
