Introducing Critter!
Reply in thread
We have three cats and a dog. We do not need more pets. But part of me is like, "If I had to rescue a cat...." or "Maybe I could foster a cat!"
I'd save all of them if I could.

Jordan Kyrou for McMichael, Gastrin, and 16th overall
My wife likes the trade. I was like, "Who? This better not be an Erat situation!" But then I realized McMichael hasn't really lived up to the expectations here, and apparently Kyrou is pretty good and was an all star.
Best of luck to both guys!

There's a group on Facebook called Treksons where people post Star Trek/Simpsons mashups like this. Futurama sometimes sneaks in, too. It's really hilarious, and I highly recommend it if you're on Facebook and like both shows.

Ever had a tooth pulled? The description does sound pretty quick and clean.

I had the same for my last guard (to keep me from grinding teeth at night). The previous guard relied on a mold, which I swear loosened a filling that fell out a week or two later.
The tech is pretty amazing. They still need a drill though.

HAOS 18.0 update released
Reply in thread
Sorry, I meant that I have no idea if the display is working, as I don't have one attached. The HA installation is definitely working!
Oh yeah. I would definitely not do a long distance update if I can avoid it. A few years ago we took a 28 day road trip, and the HA at home stayed completely un-updated during that time. (I actually have two setups, one is a virtual machine on my Linux server at home, and the RPi is in our rv.) I rarely have issues with updates, but I wasn't about to risk it.
For the rv setup, I struggle because the rv doesn't have a consistent wifi network. At home it uses the home network, but we'll often use campground wifi or phone hotspots while traveling. We have and used to use a Starlink setup (especially during that long trip) but I'm not giving that jackass a dime if I can avoid it. But Starlink really is the best solution.
And HA doesn't remember more than one wifi network at a time, so if I change it to a campground, then I have to change it back when I get home.

Another thing I noticed is that the character is named Dilberg. That's awfully close to Dilbert, and combined with the office setting it feels like it has to be a reference.
The tie is pure Dilbert.
because the Dilbert guy is a twat
Was a twat. He died back in January!

You were down voted, but I read your statement as sarcasm. Now I'm wondering which is correct.

I did the update and ran the recommended command. Seems to be working. I don't have a monitor and keyboard hooked up to know if it's really working.

HAOS 18.0 update released
Wait, will it boot or not on an RPi5? The first part makes it sound like it won't, but then the last bullet of suggested fixes implies it will boot.

U.N. escalator stops as Trump, first lady get on; White House demands firing if deliberate
I just saw this video clip while watching last night's Kimmel. Trump was furious - look at his expression in that picture...because an escalator stopped. The smallest of setbacks drives him to a crazy level of fury.
Like Kimmel said, "If only that had happened 10 years ago."

Ever hear the expression, "Hitler made the trains run on time“?
Thing is, he didn't. But everyone was afraid to report that they weren't running on time, so officially they always met their schedules.
That's where this is heading.

Last Place is so great. Some of them are a bit too far out there for me (and I love that he does them, even if they aren't to my taste), but so many of them make me actually laugh out loud.
I posted my favorite one here a while back, but it was on my previous account on lemm.ee, so it's hard to find the post.

Trump says that he did not fall down while being evacuated from the WHCD. He says he was asked to get closer to the ground by agents
This is stupid. No one would care that he fell over while a bunch of people were pushing him out of there. It's pretty easy to get tripped up in a situation like that.
But of course, Trump has to make sure everyone knows he didn't fall. What an ego.
