I still maintain it was the wrong call. It only worked because Lando drove perfectly. If Lando made even the slightest mistake, he would have lost that position.
Expecting your driver to be prefect is not the right call.

My completely baseless take: they were fine making the "I hate by husband/wife" jokes while working full time; but once retired and spending time together, they realize they actually really do not like each other.

[@SkySportsF1] "In my personal opinion Valtteri, and all my teammates have been stronger than the teammates Max has had." Strong words from Lewis Hamilton.
I mean I'll certainly agree to Alonso, Button, and Rosberg since they're champions. But I would say Ricciardo was tougher against Max than Valtteri against Lewis.

It was a genuine question. I know he manages Russell and I thought there were some other drivers too.

F1 eyes lighter, simpler and noisier engines
I think this is great. The current hybrid powertrains are so complicated and expensive. Just move to zero carbon e-fuels like Porsche is experimenting with and simpler engines.
Yeah the e-fuels are crazy expensive; but the small volume that F1 would require would still probably be cheaper than the current total costs of all the hybrid stuff.

Such a slap in the face too when it forces a DNF as well. Like "hey we know that guy forced you to retire, but don't worry we gave him a 5 second penalty!".

[Lawrence Barretto] Sources say Ricciardo was impressive in today's Pirelli tyre test with Red Bull, his first drive in 2023 machinery, and that his best lap would have been good enough for the front
Sounds almost more like wishful thinking than rumors. But it would lead credence to the abrupt driver swap announced today.
If Daniel was able to drop in a car after being absent for like 9 months and put down competitive times; then I understand Red Bull not wanting to waste any time. Horner probably wants a relaxing summer break with next year's lineup Locked in.

Never thought about the North Star, but I suppose that makes sense for northern hemisphere seafarers. But then combine that with the compass and European colonialism and it all makes sense.

Americans will need a visa to visit Europe starting in 2024. Here's what you should know.
Reply in thread
Seems like it's more so covering the costs of doing automated background checks or something like that. Like making sure you aren't on any bad lists so they can prevent you from arriving instead of having to deal with you when you're already there.
It's not technically a visa, Americans are still granted that upon arrival it seems.
