Updated Rules confirmed in Rage of Elements

Essentially yes, they are removing any SRD components due to the licensing debacle created by WOTC earlier in the year. Then there's some other changes like ability scores being removed and then just using the modifiers, which makes sense tbh

Redditors, how do you like Lemmy?
Loving it so far. Once you get used to how you connect to other instances it's a breeze.
Like you said Jerboa, is really coming along nicely and is easy to use.
Can't reysee myself using Reddit much any more tbh

Illinois becomes first state to pass law curtailing book bans
Some good news on that front. As a non American it's sad to see what is happening in most states over there atm

I don't see anyone getting close to them probably until 2026, when the engine regulation change comes in. Hope I'm wrong tbh, but you have to hand it to them they've done the best job with the rule changes.

Remaster notes from PaizoCon
I mean it had to happen at some point with the wotc debacle and the OGL. It really doesn't affect round table plays or your current campaign unless you want to.
As for the actual changes I like them so far.

Agreed, they put a game around the card game, that kept getting in the way!

How do you prep your Homebrew/APs?
I'm only using OneNote atm for all my ttrpg stuff. Feel like I'm missing something by not using Obsidian, is it that much better?

What ttRPG are you playing right now/ or are you planning on trying soon?
Currently running Age of Ashes for PF2e. It's been great so far. PF2e is my preferred system to GM in as it has rules for everything you can think of, which from a GM's pov is great as I can consistently rule the same in each session or in each campaign we play.
Also play DnD5e pbp on a community discord server and I live play Delta Green (Call of Cthulhu).
There are plenty of systems out there to try and I would suggest trying a few of them. DnD is obviously the most popular, but may not fit the type of world / game you prefer.

McLaren not getting preoccupied over 2026 F1 engine talks
At the moment, and I say this as a McLaren fan; that's just where McLaren are. No point in having the same experience they had with Honda whilst being towards the back of the midfield.
But I doubt they will win a championship without going the works route at some point

What game is improved the most by mods?
Reply in thread
I second this. I first played the game way after it's first release, so added some of the graphics mods to the game and some QOL ones as well. Made the whole experience better tbh, even though the game is great anyway

I’ve been painting tabletop wargame figures with dollar store paints and want to gauge if there’s interest in posting a step by step for painting on a budget
Definitely, it something I want to get into. Having played ttrpg mainly online, I'd like to start playing round table tbh
