Honestly that is something I kinda fear. If Hollywood buys out much of the anime industry they could dictate what's being produced. And I assure you that anything original is going to be rejected because it's too "risky" and "it doesn't make sense from a business perspective".
Maybe it's ridiculous but that's just a fear I have.

I love this kind of thing! When I was reading Kaguya-sama I discovered that each chapter had a blog post from the translation team about all the fun stuff included in the chapter that the average reader might not know. Even though I own paper books it made me reread everything in digital just to appreciate what I missed.

There are a lot of artists that started their career with adult things, it's not uncommon and it's not a bad thing either but in the case of OPM the director said himself that he's somewhat inexperienced, especially with action shows like OPM. Adult anime is also known for its very poor animation quality. Many people are angry because not only we got a studio that can't produce anything of S1 level but also they didn't even hire experienced people.
