Misogyny (Art by Paxiti)
Well, that's probably only true for some people and only for a certain period after coming out to yourself. Sure, it was euphoric feeling seen in my gender identity when I faced misogyny for the first few times. But once I felt more at home in my gender identity, it wasn't pleasant anymore.
I actually know plenty of cis straight women who are repeatedly seeking out men that treat them awfully because they think they don't deserve anything else. I would so far as to say that straight culture is based on misogyny.

If you read the actual paper, you can see that it is indeed a serious study where they try to understand how mosquito feeding and reproductive behavior works.

Yes! When I did electron microscopy, we had to cover the fix the samples and cover them with a very thin gold layer beforehand.

Well, plants really don't have to deal with our binary bullshit. Most of them don't have any sex because they have perfect flowers anyways, meaning their flowers have male and female gametes.

Leaves have evolved at least twice 🤔
Hm, I was intrigued and looked at the evolution of plants. This made me realize how paraphyletic gymnosperms and angiosperms really are! We just don't know how angiosperms exactly started out and if they might be monophyletic. And in case of gymnosperms, they are consisting of many very different plant groups that evolved independently.
So gymnosperms were probably the first plants to evolve seeds and they "include conifers, cycads, Ginkgo, and gnetophytes, forming the clade Gymnospermae". That doesn't really give an answer but that's the best we can do?
It was previously widely accepted that the gymnosperms originated in the Late Carboniferous period, replacing the lycopsid rainforests of the tropical region, but more recent phylogenetic evidence indicates that they diverged from the ancestors of angiosperms during the Early Carboniferous.[12][13] The radiation of gymnosperms during the late Carboniferous appears to have resulted from a whole genome duplication event around 319 million years ago.[14] Early characteristics of seed plants are evident in fossil progymnosperms of the late Devonian period around 383 million years ago. It has been suggested that during the mid-Mesozoic era, pollination of some extinct groups of gymnosperms was by extinct species of scorpionflies that had specialized proboscis for feeding on pollination drops. The scorpionflies likely engaged in pollination mutualisms with gymnosperms, long before the similar and independent coevolution of nectar-feeding insects on angiosperms.[15][16] Evidence has also been found that mid-Mesozoic gymnosperms were pollinated by Kalligrammatid lacewings, a now-extinct family with members which (in an example of convergent evolution) resembled the modern butterflies that arose far later.
Wow, so there was already pollination going on before flowering plants even existed??? By scorpionflies who's ancestors I frequently see? And there were butterfly-like insects long before real butterflies existed? Look how butterfly-like they were! This is wild!!

39C3: „Digital Independence Day“ gegen Tech-Monopole
Reply in thread

In some areas and times, cockchafers were served as food. A 19th-century recipe from France for cockchafer soup reads: "roast one pound of cockchafers without wings and legs in sizzling butter, then cook them in a chicken soup, add some veal liver and serve with chives on a toast". A German newspaper from Fulda from the 1920s tells of students eating sugar-coated cockchafers. Cockchafer larvae can also be fried or cooked over open flames, although they require some preparation by soaking in vinegar in order to purge them of soil in their digestive tracts.[14] A cockchafer stew is referred to in W. G. Sebald's novel The Emigrants.

Was ich so finden konnte:
VIOLENCE AND GENDER Between 37% and 88% of mainstream pornographic scenes include acts of physical aggression (mostly gagging and spanking), most commonly towards female actors with the scene usually suggesting that the recipient was a willing participant.19 20 Women are also more likely than men to be depicted as submissive during sex and as exploited or manipulated into sexual activity.10 20 Despite copious research into the phenomenon over many decades, the direct evidence for how viewing violent pornography impacts on gender-based violence is inconclusive. Experimental studies which involve exposing men to violent pornography have demonstrated an increase in sexual aggression;21 however, the artificiality of the experimental setting limits the validity of these findings in real-world situations. A meta-analysis of nonexperimental studies revealed a significant association between pornography use (particularly of violent pornography) and attitudes supporting violence against women.22 This association cannot be interpreted as causation, however, as men with a disposition towards violence against women are more likely to seek out violent pornography.23 Ecological data from many countries show that the population rate of rape has decreased significantly while pornography use has significantly increased.21 This has led some researchers to hypothesise that exposure to violent pornography is cathartic, diverting sexual aggression away from real-life violence.21 Ecological data, however, are a very weak form of evidence, as changes at a national level over time may be driven by a multitude of other societal factors.
Aus: The impact of pornography on gender-based violence, sexual health and well-being: what do we know?
