Signal massively downloaded amid rising tensions, number one in Denmark

I'm pretty sure this isn't irony, but rather a reaction from the population that is realizing the shit their government is doing.

It would be more appropriate from Europe to count all the environmental harm corpos like Cocacola get away with and simply start taxing based on the extra strain they cause to society. Give a number and just not budge. It is not hard to deal with this man.

Mainstream media quoting the anarchist library.
“Revolutionary solidarity is always an active attack; it always involves the recovery of our own active powers that multiply in combination – in solidarity – with the active powers of others,” the document reads.
It encourages anarchists to store up anger when they witness perceived injustice, so they can turn it into violence later.
“I again open up this special compartment and put the anger of some new atrocity in it, all in anticipation of the day when I shall need this anger to bring the Empire down.”
“I perceive my anger calling me from inside this compartment, I hear the door unlatching from inside, and this new terrible question approaches me: How shall I know when it’s time for insurrection?”
It is so amazing how one side is using war-time speech to promote peace and the other (unquoted voice of the article) is using peace-time phrasing to sustain the war. The former emphasizes the urgency, the latter manipulates towards isolation with internalized shaming tactics. Truly leopardsatemyface level of journalism, 8/10, good luck with the ad revenue on that one.

This is so good that I got bothered that there was no source. I found a comic from over ten years ago, with the same theme, but more simpler graphics. It turned out Jake Likes Onions did an updated version of their original comic in 2019 and didn't add their watermark for some reason.
Anyway, as you were.

Not really, no.
While central Europe and the Balkans still clearly have Russia's hooks in 'em, most of the population is firmly for the EU (i.e. the West). This couldn't have happened if Russian soft power did not suffer horrendously at the split of the USSR.

At first I thought it might be a standing point for Orbán to point out that they want this (but the bad EU, yadda yadda), but after actually reading that garbage of a propaganda piece, I can only imagine that part is boiler-plate, and noone along the chain caught it or could be bothered with correcting it.
Trump is serving up the distmantling of most US soft powers. Like how is this not a game of chicken for us to bunch up on Ireland and tell them no more fucking around with appl and alphabet. I'd love nothing more than a third level bureaucrat tucked away in Strassbourg to calculate exactly how much societal and global harm these companies cause. We could shift that into dollars (somehow?), and make sure they pay that tax, or we start filtering their sites. I rarely believe restriction is the way to go, but nothing would really be lost here.

Is there a formalized ban appeal process for the fediverse? Do I just direct message a mod?

Was OP being shitty with their comment?
I guess birthing is a hot topic or maybe even a dog whistle in the anti-trans community. Just from OP's deleted comments, I'd say they weren't hating.

I'm pretty sure it's light-weight psyops. Gitmo got a cutesy name as well. Anyone not directly part of the silly walks ministerium doesn't give a nickname to something so serious.

Yeah, but these were a group of random civilians, not frothing anarchists.
Many people are fretting the Gestapo (and the communist counterpart), but their black cars came in the night and were pretty efficient.
This video just goes to show that the powers that be have not totally eroded the fabric of society in the US (where they are doing there their best to 'individualize'). Everyone was being smart as to not touch the henchman, but people were still risking their wellbeing in the face of a militia.
Great video, thanks for sharing. People are good.

Thanks for the reply. I see I am going against the grain here, so apologies if this comes through as hard-headed, but I still don't get the violation.
Was the problem that OP was talking in general about the importance of being able to give birth? It doesn't seem to diss trans or sterile people, just mentions that it can be important. Or is OP saying it is important, and that's the problem?

Politics 101. Accuse the opposition with the stuff you're doing.
Hungary is low-hanging fruit in this example, but that's where I was when I started paying attention to politics. Anytime the government said something about 'the enemy', it was a safe bet to assume Orbán & co were the perpetrators.

Oooh, I'm one of those! Gaming on foodstamps and social health in a US state, AMA.

I use Endeavour, btw. Nah, I don't think it'll catch one.
I'm super stoked to be on an Arch-based system, but things have been so easy I have earned no bragging rights what-so-ever with it.

Truly wonderful.
You need the gaming in this lifestyle to help divert attention from not being able to get comfort foods at month's end.
Otherwise it leaves me all the time to realize the physical and mental hells I am putting myself through. I've been qualified for free health care for over a year, but I just arrived to the point where I can reach out and engage the system. I initially thought enrolling would come in handy if I get into an accident, but last week I made the call to start preventive treatments.
I have an appointment with an actual doctor next month. I am also getting the ball rolling on the emotional side. I was contemplating moving back home, but now I might give this current iteration some more time.
edit: i just reread the title (of course I didn't read the article); I'm 40.

Fediverse Challenge: Prove there's still good in the world
I've been mulling this stuff over.
I think going fedi (and open source) is like hitting rock bottom/finding jesus/starting therapy. All we can do is try and remove the stigma.
Yeah, all the doomerism is pulling me down, too. My best solution so far is to not interact. Not even a downvote. Contrarianism and acute cynisism need feedback to thrive, and the bastards ain't getting any more of my blood!
