Is there a game that you've been very patient for, which turned out to be dissappointing when you finally started playing it?
Final Fantasy XVI :/ combat was fun but the RPG elements were pretty bad tbh

What are your criteria for choosing an instance other than Lemmy.world?
definitely worth taking a look at different instances stance on defederation. after the whole ordeal with lemmy.world defederating with hexbear prematurely its worth taking the time to find an instance that aligns with your ideals and won't remove communities you may find valuable. I personally dont align with hexbear's politics but I think that its important to have an open federation policy.

Hung my passive aggressive speakers wth dead climbing rope
Reply in thread
thanks ill look into it ! im using a tautline hitch on the speakers which I think is secure. my concern is at the top (you can't see) where I tied the speakers to some hooks on the ceiling. Im concerned the hooks will come out of the ceiling or my knot isn't very good. I didn't use google to find me a good knot for this part I just winged it because I was tired.

the tautline hitch is super tight actually, and the speakers are small, dont vibrate much. was blasting techno for like 3 hours and there was no movement.

Why do my pictures sometimes post sideways on lemmy?
That happens to me on Reddit as well. I only use it on my Mac so it’s usually an HEIC file from my phone I’m posting. If I convert it to a JPEG before it posts in the correct orientation. Lots of things don’t accept heic files so I have a pretty seamless workflow to do it often.

When the fuck did a mobile hotspot become something you have to pay extra for?
Reply in thread
its a feature on the OS yeah, but cellular carriers throttle the mobile hotspot speeds to shit if you dont pay for it. On T-Mobile if I mobile hotspot I get like 0.5 mbps
