I've tried browsing with the app but the content I'm being fed seems to have different priorities to rif. The niche stuff that I really want to read appears to be being buried.

It's made it so much easier to just not give them any content myself as I decided to stop posting there.

I'm really looking forward to seeing where lemmy goes as it's attracting the kind of people I enjoy associating with. Reddit is headed in the opposite direction IMO.

Rumor: Nintendo Switch 2 Console 'Leak' Hints at New Feature (Scroll Wheel Triggers and Traditional Console instead of handheld)

Reply in thread

I'm the same.

My PC plugs into a monitor and my living room TV, so I buy for that mostly as it results in the best performance.

I have PS5 for exclusives and my son.

I have a Switch for exclusives and portability. ( I even have a Vita for extra portability).

PersonallyI could live without a portable Switch 2 as I'm planning on going for a next gen Steam Deck or an equivalent once they can handle current gen games.

However I'm definitely not the main market for a switch and I reckon good enough graphics combined with portability has been its greatest selling point.

Getting ready to set up my Plex, have a few questions...

It really depends on how you want to deal with your media. I want the best copy of movies that I can get. So I need the server to transcode but that requires a beefy cpu for one stream or using a gpu ( intel iGPUs are great for this) for more. Unfortunately accelerated transcoding requires to pay for plex pass. If you really need hardware transcoding and don't want to pay you could go with Jellyfin, though it's harder to set up and doesn't have clients for as many devices.

One thing is that there are reasonably frequent discounts on lifetime plex pass which is what I did.
