Drivers Hate The Tech In Their Cars

I'm ok with a decent amount of tech in a car. Like I'm fine being able to connect my phone to the car and have android auto take over the infotainment system.

But the HVAC stuff needs to be buttons I can access/control without looking or very minimal looking.

I don't want/need my car to have a SIM card, or connect to wifi, and report what I'm doing. If they want to do that, then they can give me the car for free and I'll drive it around letting them collect my driving habits.

Edit: Oh, and I'm sure as hell not paying some subscription fee on top of the price of the car.

JD Vance went on the view and got absolutely torn to shreds by middle-aged women

It's funny, not funny how much these people (the vast majority of politicians on both sides) have forgotten that. And that's because money rules. Until it is no longer lucrative to be in politics nothing will change. Reduce the financial wins of becoming a politician and the people gravitating towards that career will change.

And maybe that's a little harsh, some of them probably started out with good intentions to fix something local to them or their community, but power corrupts all. (power = money here). Reduce the money, and reduce the functional lifetime appointments (term limits) things would get better.

Right, but when everyone got phone books, those were only shared locally in the town. It would be pretty hard to figure out someones phone number from across the state/country without the internet unless you knew someone in the town.

You could also pay to be unlisted, which is a luxury long since gone. How cool would it be to make your data 'unlisted' by paying a small monthly fee.
