Yep. I've already upvoted more in the last week on Lemmy than I did in the last 5 years at reddit. It all became so meaningless and Astroturfed when their algorithm kicks in after the first 50 votes

Hypothetically speaking, if Reddit back tracks on their API plan and meets all of the communities expeditions- would you go back to Reddit?

Lemmy is CEO-proof. After Digg, Reddit and Twitter, that term should be a thing

It's understandable for reddit to need money to continue functioning. That's never been the argument. The problem is how unreasonable the pricing is and how unwaverable they are about it.

I'm using jerboa too. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but it seems like the communities that come up under All - Top are kind of limited. Maybe just still a small user base at the moment

I agree. Or people would see a couple downvotes and just start dogpiling without even processing what the comment said.
I'll be honest, towards the end, farming downvotes in new or interesting ways was one of the only good parts of reddit for me. It was funny to see people so easily sucked in and worked up about what to me is obvious satire. It will be interesting to see how/if that type of behavior converts on Lemmy
