World's largest flavor maker unveils $300M investment, 338 new jobs in Cincinnati region
Abrupt turn but I guess they still wanted the region and it really was just too much money to remediate the Reading location.
Vote on the BuildReady Design Competition for Cincinnati
BuildReady is a long-term project to develop pre-approved housing plans for small multi-family homes; preapproval can expedite the development process by several months, meaning this much-needed type of housing can be built more quickly.
The link is a bit.ly but it is from their newsletter and goes to the link here- https://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/planning/projects/active/buildready/design-competition/
Basically if you have time and desire you can vote for what design you think best for the city and I guess that input might be used somehow to guide design of these new smaller and easier to build housing units for the city.

The Phoenix downtown event center will reopen in spring 2027 under Scottish Rite Masons ownership.
Being ran by DelightMore, the catering company though they apparently do event as well in their business so that helps.
Always heard it was a nice building inside (obviously is out.)
New hotel and cocktail bar The Muse coming to Cincinnati
Like @timbuktu posted about, this place is a hell of a building. Truly beautiful.

I don't think it's quite defined what this means. It sounds like they are closing it up and shutting down the brand entirely but unsure.
In any case, yet another masterstroke by the geniuses at March First. Killing Woodburn first now FigLeaf?

Columbus-founded Dueling Axes closes all locations – including Cincinnati
Those in Die Innenstadt found out first but yeah. Never saw how they were going to make this huge space work (and it never seemed to.) Not the primary reason for the closure I bet but it couldn't have helped.
United to resume CVG-SFO direct flight
Good news for a bunch of folks after this and the Delta one had went away. No longer on a wing and a prayer with Breeze.

PSA- funds for those impacted by recent flooding
Per City of Cincinnati release
CINCINNATI, OH — Today, the City of Cincinnati, through Greater Cincinnati Water Works, activated a hotline for residents and business owners who were impacted by flash flooding on July 17 and July 21 and have not yet made outreach to the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD).
Impacted residents can call (513) 323-7995 to speak with a representative during normal business hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Residents who have already filed a Sewer Back-Up (SBU) Claim with MSD do not need to call again.
“Our City Administration has worked incredibly quickly to activate a program that gets relief into the hands of our residents. Our primary goal here is to cut through as much bureaucracy as possible and get direct assistance out the door,” said Mayor Aftab Pureval.
These funds will supplement MSD’s SBU Program and other available financial relief programs or insurance proceeds available to homeowners or small business owners.
Separately, the City made direct outreach to the approximately 40 properties that may have been impacted from the Duck Creek Floodgate not closing during the July 17 rain event. If you are one of those property owners, please call the phone number provided to you if you have not already done so. The City has a separate process to help these specific properties.
City staff continue to work with urgency to gather necessary information from residents impacted by the flood to complete the intake and review process. We expect residents who qualify will begin to receive checks within the next few weeks

Interesting idea. Could bridge the gap from the casino to OTR and further into Pendleton well.
