I recently switched to graphene os 🥳 but I am having trouble getting notifications from profiles other than the one currently open. Background running is enabled for the profile in settings, when I switch to it it is cleary still running, but I only then see any notifications from Apps there. I only have whatsapp running in that profile with play services. I have tried having someone send me a message, even after waiting for 15 minutes it doesnt show in the main profile.
I thought this was supposed to officially work, but with a delay. Am I wrong?
I know the generall guidance for private phones was Pixel with graphene OS. I was financially planing on buying a 10th gen pixel when they come out later this year to only put gos on it. However with the recent news, I am wondering if this is still the recommended best practice from this community.
I am worried that if the gos team needs to spend tonnes of ressources on maintaining basic drivers and stuff then they won't have any time to work on the privacy and security features they are best known for.
What is your oppinion?
Also does anyone have a way to dpam feedback to google? I couldn't finf a generall feedback form, but if they know that people aren't buying their hardware because of this decision, they might back down. (I really fell in love with gos researching it lately so I would hate to have to switch to something like /e/ os or calyx or something)
Srsly though I do need 200gbs, it is a basic human need.
I can't imagine anyone EVER going "Hmmm, I bet people would appreciate autosave being disabled by default to save a miniscule amount of storage space, we shouldn't even prompt the player to choose during setup" I just spent like 3 hours in a new map and it just crashed. It's all gone. I am devastated. I will now cry myself to sleep.
Ok so apparently it is an article, not a bulletpoint of the other article as the ui would suggest. According to the article, some model made a while ago predicts we should only be at 1.3% warming this year and not 1.5%. That missing 0.2% is whats the mistery, so kind of misleading headline, especially if you put it in a place that doesn't make it look like an article at all. I only found out because I accidentally clicked on it.
