I feel like lemmy will be as big as reddit in a few years. Idk why pero for some reason lagi akong nauuna sa mga patok na apps bago sila sumikat. I was there on tiktok when numerical codes pa ang user ID. Nasa lazada na rin ako nung puro shady gadgets like ballpen with spy camera and audio recorder pa lang ang binebenta nila while only having 1 warehouse sa rizal area. Even on instagram nauna ako I was there before FB acquired IG. Looks like I'll be one of the pioneer users again in an upcoming unicorn app which is Lemmy.

5 days till July

I feel bad for the devs of lemmy. It seems that everyone has their one foot out of door and cant wait to go back to reddit once the ph sub opens again. Lemmy welcomed us all with open arms pero iaabandon din pala after a few days and babalik sa reddit na greedy at toxic ang management team.

What I like about lemmy is there's no counter for karma on a person's profile. Walang epekto kahit gaano kadaming upvotes or downvotes ang nakuha ng isang account. Conversations in lemmy feel more genuine and authentic as people are not pressured to say things that will get upvotes. The bond and camaraderie among community members is stronger.

I really miss the feeling of having 12-14 hours of deep sleep every saturday after being puyat as fuck all week long. I remember 1st year 1st sem of college ay halos kakagising ko pa lang pag ganitong oras every saturday. Bumabawi ng tulog pag sat kasi puyat kami ng mga kabarkada ko nun buong week kakalaro dota, bilyar, inom, gimik.

Ngayong tumatanda hirap na maka 8 hours of deep sleep every sat kahit pagod at puyat buong week. Nagigising talaga agad at mababaw ang tulog dahil sa mga problema.

Naalala ko pa sa highschool namin ang dami nagkainteres sa computer science na course dahil may job opening ad sa login page ng twitter noon, hiring developers /graduates of comsci and nakalagay 60k or 80k usd starting salary ata iirc. Ayun, pagdating ng college wala pa ata 20% sa kanila ang nakasurvive and graduate sa comsci program ng upd.
