What is a good keyboard app for Android?
Unfortunately Gboard is still the best around. Block it's internet access.

Is there really no viable alternative for Photoshop on Linux?
After some time living with Gimp/Krita etc. you will learn to do the things you did with Photoshop. It does takes some time and research/learning. I was real comfy with PS and do miss it but the more I've gone without, the more I've found ways to tackle the things I need to do with alternatives.

They're not really debloatable but you can use alternatives. Newpipe can handle YouTube. Invidious instances in the browser. Something like libredirect can send you to alternate front ends for Reddit.

what is the alternative to youtube?
Freetube if you want a standalone desktop app that stores all your subscriptions. Invidious instances in the browser. Newpipe on Android. All of these no ads and need no login. 😊

Yes probably. It's a compromise and not ideal. I revoke internet access and on Graphene OS not tied to a Google account. We all find our own peace with this kind of thing. Florisboard looked very promising but the swipe text wasn't implemented last I checked.

[Discussion] According to you, what was the most unnecessary and worst sequel of all time?
Lost Boys 2 is pretty tragic. Dunno about worst ever.. but first thing that sprung to mind. Those sequels are rough and capture none of the magic of the original. They shouldn't have bothered.

Best App Launcher on Linux
Very comfortable with Rofi. It's especially nice in a window manager as it also works as a switcher or shortcut to your open programs.

Questions about Distros and Using Linux Before I Switch
Even if you do not want to use the command line/terminal very often, it would be worth just learning how to install, remove packages and update your system. Just those few things will likely make your whole experience much easier.

What are some beginner "how to draw" books?
There are so many books out there but I really like 'Keys to Drawing' by Bert Dodson. Start simple, you only need a pencil and something to draw on.

Lemmy.world status update 2023-07-04
Thanks for your hard work. Noticing janky bits getting ironed out everyday. Has anyone had any luck making Lemmy.world work in Qutebrowser? It just hangs on loading comments/posts..Any work arounds? I'd love that..working quite well in Firefox and mobile though.

Do you believe Lemmy/Mastodon can become mainstream and fully replace their centralized counterparts?
mainstream's not all it's cracked up to be..

Anyone know of a linux tasks app that can open the json backup files from Tasks.org?
Syncing tasks app with Thunderbird using CalDAV rather than your json method is one way of doing it. There may be other tasks apps out there though?..You'd need a CalDAV service for hosting the tasks..I use Posteo (email/calendar) and it supports this.

How can I get better at the CLI?
Use it everyday and you just pick things up over time, you don't need to know everything. Make your terminal pretty colours. Fetishize about keyboards and the simplicity of plain text.

Does Anyone Else Use Tabs, Any?
Don't find much use for them personally but some are in the tabs frame of mind and some are in the buffers, whatever works for you.. I just think in buffers and the buffer list. Maybe if I have a very separate set of work going on I might want to put it in a tab. I think of tabs in Emacs more like a workspace or session (ala Tmux)

Is Lemmy THE reddit alternative for you? Are you thinking about moving somewhere else?
Yeah, in for the long haul. Once the knowledge base and communities build up a bit it'll be great. It'll take some time.. There's still a lot of good searchable information deep in the subreddits.
