Which animals, besides cats or dogs, would you give a ride to or intentionally let in your home with barely a second thought?
Elephant. Never met one outside the zoo, but I imagine they would be hard to say "no" to.

How can you explain a smell you've never smelled before?
I think you just answered your own question, by describing a smell I've never smelled before.

No one takes time to parse which germans in germany between 1933-1945 supported the NAZIs and which didn't.
Well that's easy: everyone outside of the concentration camps more less supported them or did enough to not end up in one of the camps. Of course there were a bunch of rebellious groups of people who actively stood up against the government. Of some of them we know, others might have been forgotten. But I think with that we're already covering at least 75% of the population. You might find the list of companies involved in the holocaust interesting. Not exactly people but you can extrapolate from there: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_companies_involved_in_the_Holocaust

A big part of learning Linux is screwing up computers and starting over.
Recently I accidently deleted the contents of /boot/ on my first arch install. The lesson that followed was something I would have rather saved for later ^^

When you're feeling down, what perks you back up or improves your day?
A cold shower. It takes a huge amount of effort for me to actually do it, but if I do, it's the best thing ever. Immediately changes my mood, literally cools my head down and I can't think anything else except "ahhhh cold!" while doing it.
Afterwards it feels like a big accomplishment.

I knew the guy for commenting on viral videos, that must have been about 15 years ago. Probably was clickbait even back then but I thought the guy was hilarious. But I don't know how I'd feel about his old videos nowadays. They probably did't age well.

Decimal time
This might be the only decimal measuring format the US will adopt, since nobody else uses it.
