How to configure Nobara to require manual username for login?
Perhaps I missed the setting, but I want blank username/password fields instead of selecting from available users if that makes any sense. On KDE Plasma if that matters.
Thank you!
How to force latest satellite imagery on Google Maps?
Using FF 150.0 on Nobara Linux, google maps gives me wildly outdated satellite imagery. Chromium/Chrome seems up to date. Is there a way to force google to display the latest and greatest?
Example: Tyler Perry's insane mansion outside Atlanta.

Water usage is probably my biggest. Living in a high desert, my wife and MIL see no problem with filling one side of the sink with hot soapy water to wash a few dishes because “that’s just how I’ve always done it”, to watering the grass and plants for hours. All of this makes me mental.
Remote KVM recommendations
I have three networked Win10/11 PCs at our small family business that occasionally need to be accessed and maintained from my Fedora PC at home. I’ve used Google Remote Desktop for a while but it’s unreliable and also F Google.
Was looking at the Gl-Inet Comet products which look promising as they say they work without cloud access, but they’re a tad spendy. If it’s the best option I’m willing to drop the coin.
Are there better options?
Thanks!
Edit: Wow, thank you all for so much useful feedback and excellent recommendations! I have lots to dig in to.
What local, national or international journalism do you support financially?
I have monthly donations going to my local PBS & NPR stations. Planning to start supporting local independent news orgs and perhaps a few online orgs like The Bulwark.

View original on sh.itjust.works[Solved] Booted into Fedora 41 KDE Plasma and now have no networking/internet
Hello everyone.
I started my PC for the day and cannot access my LAN and have no internet using the internal NIC on my Asus B550-F motherboard and a separate PCI NIC as well. Booted into a Fedora LiveCD and do have internet on Firefox. The PC was working perfectly last night when I shut it down.
My GL-MT6000 router sees the PC as a wired client and issued its static IP, but I cannot ping the PC from any other computer on the same network.
I'm pretty new to Linux, so I'm not sure what info to supply, but I'm hoping someone can offer a useful suggestion.
Thanks very much!
What's your Geocaching EDC?
My last find was in 2016 and I'm looking to get back to it. What equipment and supplies are you taking with you on your adventures? Are you using a standalone GPS or just your phone?
Looking forward to seeing/hearing about your kit.

Starship Simulator
I’ve played the free demo on Steam, which is a glorified walking simulator at this point, but it’s still pretty interesting.
The dev has pretty big plans (and is very active on YT), hope they all come to fruition.
