[Man Utd] Club statement on Mason Greenwood
I feared he would be reinstated and am very relieved by this outcome, recognising that it is not perfect. Couldn’t have stomached reinstatement… now hopefully can focus on the football!

[Romano] Juventus hope to get the green light from Adrien Rabiot in the next days to extend the contract and get new deal signed. ⚪️⚫️🇫🇷 #Juve
This tweet implies info from both the Juventus side (optimism and hope) and Rabiot’s agent (that Juve has the best proposal on the table). Somewhat surprising United haven’t put in a proposal considering the need for depth and that Rabiot’s flexibility would help across the midfield (and the links going back to last summer). Maybe this is to put some pressure on.

Welcome to Red Devils! Come say hi!
Thanks for setting this up RamesesKnibs and other supporters. As the shenanigans at Reddit play out over the coming months and years it is great that communities are being built in the fediverse (I am sure that will roll off the tongue someday, maybe!). But I love the idea of it. So disappointed big corporations (lots of tech companies and even United) too often prioritise profit over everything else…

[MailOnline] Manchester United 'consider awarding Alejandro Garnacho their fabled No 7 shirt' as his meteoric rise continues, with the talented youngster in line to succeed Cristiano Ronaldo
Garnacho is an exciting player who has the ability and confidence to change games. But it might make sense to “award” the No 7 when the young lad has made a claim to start regularly. Hope he continues to develop into a leading PL winger and ultimately world class player. He can do it.

[Ornstein] Chelsea reject 3rd Man Utd bid for Mason Mount (£50m + £5m). #CFC make counter-proposal of £58m + £7m & offer to meet #MUFC to find amicable solution
The United brief that their last offer was their final one (in broad brush strokes) really does put them in a bind. Chelsea assumed they’re bluffing and is calling it. Chelsea haven’t said this is their final offer so they have left themselves space in the negotiation to “try it on” and come down if United do walk. There’s time for this to get resolved. I think most people who want United to walk away (rather than hold firm and let Chelsea stew a little while) don’t really think Mount will add a lot to the team. Am I right?
