Genital mutilation should be illegal

Unfortunately a lot of Americans believe children are the property of their parents. We need a children's bill of rights.

Damn, "Thoughts and Prayers!"
I used to work in medical billing and dealing with UHC denied claims was the absolute worst. I'm actually surprised that the denial rate is 32%. It seemed much higher.

RFK Jr. spent years stoking fear and mistrust of vaccines. Here's who gets hurt by Kennedy's work
My quality of life would be a lot better if I had not had the misfortune of being born to a mother who did not fully vaccinate me and my siblings because she fell for this nonsense. Anyone spreading antivax propaganda should be criminally charged because this bullshit is seriously damaging.

Or we could fund the the education system to provide teachers with what they need to do their job
It's absurd that teachers have to buy their own supplies. I don't know of any other job that requires that.

Families face food insecurity in Republican-led states that turned down federal aid this summer
These states that declined the aid most likely want low-income people to have no choice but to rely on local churches for any help.

JD Vance's Solution to Childcare Crisis? 'Maybe Grandpa or Grandma Wants to Help'
What if you do not trust grandma to be your children's primary caregiver? This is part of the reason I chose to not have kids. I knew I could not afford childcare. My mother would happily do it for free, but she is batshit crazy and unpredictable. I would not want her to have unsupervised access to my hypothetical children for 8+ hours a day, 5 days a week.

Lily Gladstone is the Golden Globes' first Indigenous best actress winner
Over ten years ago as a student, I sold tickets for plays and concerts at the University of Montana and got some comp tickets to a play that she was in. She's very talented and I'm glad to see that she won!

My mother had to have pelvic floor surgery after having three kids. Prior to that, she had to get her gallbladder removed shortly after my brother's birth. Pregnancy is extremely unappealing to me, and I don't think the long term effects of it are talked about enough.

Plenty of them think this though unfortunately. A few years ago, I talked to a bank teller who was a middle aged white woman who said the same thing about abortion being the reason why Medicare and Social Security are underfunded.
