ok so the captions on the opening dialogue are attributed backwards, right? it's a conversation between Kit and "???", but ???'s lines sound a lot like Elsie Lovelock (who voices Kit), and Kit's lines do not sound like her

in other news, anyone good with VAs know the other voice? i was sure the judge in Helluva Boss 3x04 was Morgana Ignis, but then the credits called me dumb so 🤷‍♂️

I always thought it was odd how this was unceremoniously Gus's last episode. I wonder what happened to him?

"What is this, a crossover episode?" Yes!

For those out of the loop, the character on the left in the first two panels and both in the third are from Knights of Guinevere, a new show that TOH creator Dana Terrace and writers Zach Marcus and John Bailey Owens are co-creating and that Moring Mark has also been making comics for

So the last episode will have a different name from the theatrical release!

Also this actually goes all the way back to the observation I (and many others) made from the pilot: Pomni's name is actually Russian for "remember." What's the significance of that?? (Probably not much, given that Goose revealed that was in fact a complete coincidence. But you never know! I asked a local unicorn jester about this, and she responded "well, it's possible...")

Everybody say "thank you, hair noodle!"

And that guy's name? Grunkle Stan.

.... except that's actually real. this is canon

Two in a row, someone's feeling catty 😁

Mark took a little break last week, but looks like he's back in action!

...annnd it looks like Tumblr added a bot check that breaks my script for automatically assembling the images for these posts. ..... annnnnd of course i stopped hitting it as soon as i added back the manual entry method 🙃

If people here know Jet Lag: The Game on Youtube, the creators of that actually did this for real on their Nebula series The Getaway

On a drive across the American West, six creators must weed out the “snitch” sabotaging their $10,000 prize. The twist? They’re all the snitch.

This is great art, I really like everyone's designs here!

Sure there was the french maid outfit, but that felt like a gag to me.

The maid outfit itself can be seen as just a gag, a troll by Gangle, but Jax's reaction is the important part: "I have never seen you this upset about something." That was one of the big things that had people suggesting Jax was either transmasc or closeted transfem. Not yet a guarantee, of course, but certainly a "🤨"

Another big "if you know, you know" moment was Jax's crashout in episode 6. Specifically: "I'm just a misunderstood little chicken feats in an egg that needs to be cracked open." As @[email protected] demonstrated, "egg" is a term in trans communities for someone who isn't aware or out yet¹ (although importantly, forcibly "cracking" someone else's egg is frowned upon; a chick will not survive if their egg is cracked from the outside, they have to be incubated and protected until they are ready to hatch on their own terms). This is also mirrored in the episode 8 torture sequence, where Jax's skin gets forcefully peeled away, exposing the "yolk" while being laughed at

In a reply on another thread, Goose added irl she "probably just goes by Lee for the time being"

yeah this one is a complete one-off. we havent seen anything like this about the modern Wittebane family before

(also this is tagged as "One-Shot" on reddit, so probably wont see more after this either)

Mastodon is a much nicer place to enjoy a thing :)

AS IT STANDS, YOU ARE NO LONGER MY FRIEND. EAT MY HEART, TAKE MY SOUL, LET IT BURN YOU!

Sorry to everyone hopped up on hopium for TADC Season 2, but this is another fandom already wanting the same. Occasional random specials is the most new TADC we're gonna see

A great end to the series though! The battle was as epic as promised (despite J getting forgotten about), and plenty of room for fanworks to continue the story

And thus, this rerun series also concludes, as the special was already covered live when it came out. Thanks for watching along!

Love the cheeky unlicensed hovercraft bar callback!

Goose is a trans woman herself. I see Jax not as a literal copy of herself, but rather as her idea of a "bad ending" if young-Goose (Gosling?) wasn't able to come out and be herself

I think it's also worth comparing Lee(roy) in real life versus Jax in the Circus. Jax is a snapshot of their mental state at possibly the lowest point in their life, immediately after their coming out apparently killed their mother. But while Lee was able to find friends and build out of that (on the way to a "good ending"), Jax never got that chance and ultimately succumbed to it

Yeah I admit I kinda neglected this community...

The description of the change in the RSS is:

Hello to the couple of dozen people who still use RSS! As the newsletter is stopping, this RSS feed is going to change soon. It'll become a regular weekly link to my new videos, along with occasional notes about other projects. It should be a near-seamless switch from your POV: you may see a couple of new items at some point, which will be the most recent videos. Thanks! -- Tom

Which can already be seen in the posts after that. I'll just tweak the title format to stop calling the new videos "newsletter"
