Reddit Ramps Up Its Threats To Protesting Mods, As Ad Buyers Leave

Tumblr also kind of got ruined a few years ago too for some people if you were into that platform.

Not the person you’re replying to, but I didn’t find it awful on mobile. The zoom by dragging worked well, as did the double tap to view the whole dataset.
For a quick browse I wasn’t frustrated at all and found the information I wanted to in a short amount of time!

Do you know how to do this on Memmy?

I really enjoyed tumblr in a way I don’t really understand now. I think I enjoyed creating something to share of my own out of bits and pieces of everyone else. Idk.

Also here from day 1 Apollo, and have abandoned Reddit as well.
I like wefwef, but I found I had a lot of issues with it where things weren’t loading or processing as well as they do on other apps, so I have about 5 different ones that I’ve been rotating between - and my favorite has been Memmy so far.
I do see many benefits to wefwef, I think it’s super clean and I see the appeal, plus it’s definitely something I’ll keep checking back in on - but I’m happy to experiment with all of them right now.

Does anyone else feel like advertising has little to no effect in them?
Reply in thread
I would have never known about it unless I’d seen a post advertising something as a “Reddit replacement” but better.
Also the advertisement for the various apps available in testing for Lemmy.

What Reddit history deleting extension is recommended?
Sorry to make this into a new comment. I’m apparently Lemmy dumb and can’t figure out how to reply in a thread yet.
The link you shared is the correct one I was referring to, but some of the issues have referred to what I was commenting about previously, and they’ve shared a forked version which implements a change to only edit in 5-second intervals which goes around new reddit rules.

Is the profile button still WIP, or does it depend on the instance?
Hmm 🤔 My profile button shows me my profile with stats, and comment/post tabs.
Edit: I’m on Lemmy.world

To match or not to match (bridesmaid dresses)
I like the mismatched color idea but in complementing colors like in the photo. I think the patterns would be too much - especially with guests because they could also be wearing patterns and it might be difficult to keep the party separate from those people - if that makes sense. I feel like in my head you’re usually able to tell the wedding party apart from everyone else. But I’ve also never been a part of a large adult wedding - so don’t take my advice as solid word 😉

Thank you so much!!! We were proper laughing. My mom had put straws in the cake to stabilize it because the icing was a little slick and we didn’t want the layers to slide apart in the drive, and when we tried cutting into it we hit a straw so the knife was going through and my partner was like “just cut it already, you’re a strong woman” and it made me giggle.

Lemmy.world down, probably following the upgrade. A reminder to move to smaller instances for a better experience

What Reddit history deleting extension is recommended?
Hey, I’ve heard that it’s suggested to use something like Power Delete Suite to edit all your comments before you delete them. It’s being discussed that admins are reversing people’s deletion so their content can stay on the site.

In the short time since my last comment I’ve learned it’s a right-left swipe on the comment box in the Memmy app. But thank you either way!!
I hope it helps :)

Canada will soon have new rules for clean fuel. Here's what they'll cost when you fill up
on July 1st people aren’t really going to notice anything
Oh really? So the expected 10-15 cent increase is nothing?

So sorry to hear about your buddy. We were so lucky to have them in our lives while we did.
