No, they're winning because they have the support of capital. Under capitalism, money = power. And capitalists will always be far right (see their widespread support of Nazi Germany).

To say there WAS a primary is a lie, the other credible candidates were forced out. Claiming that a coronation is a primary is how you lose voters.

Why would we want China to curb their green energy exports? Isn't that literally the whole point of trying to fight climate change, finding ways to use more green energy?

People working in the meat industry: could/can you actually feel the effects of the rise of veganism of the last ~10 years? How (much) did it affect the area you work in?

It helps a lot for the burgers that there are now actually good fake meat options. Before the Impossible burger you basically had to lie to yourself to think fake meat was equivalent.

Bernie got fewer votes, but it was the result of blatant cheating. So its much more correct to say he was the rightful winner of it, especially considering that he would have beaten trump (according to polls). So he was a better representation of both the will of the people had there not been meddling, and the greater good for the left.

If it was a corporation, absolutely. It's part of the risks they're taking on as a business. But for a government, which is by definition non profit, you kinda have to mandate return of the funds. Otherwise the government as a whole could collapse.

I've only seen 1 episode so far, but IMO the format shift is worth it for the visual effects. Like, Sozin just straight up incinerating that guy would not have worked so well in the anime. And the actors seem quite good (the leads at least). My only real complaint is with the writing. And I mean, it's not as if the original didn't also have some pretty badly written lines in the first episodes. Adding in an actual 100 years earlier segment at the start is a big improvement, and it also gives us a taste of the kickass action scenes that are to come. At least for the intro to the show, live action seems significantly better than animated was.

The level of brainwashing in America that good economy = good times is truly absurd. Hiring 100,000 men to build mountains and then tear them down again has much better economic output than war does, because your workers don't all die constantly, while still keeping all those people employed and spending money. Hitler wasn't exactly an idiot, but he wasn't even smart enough to understand that A) being evil is really stupid given how important teamwork is to human successes, and B) he literally could have gotten better results for the German economy by building and destroying mountains.
