What's the worst thing you've ever smelled?
A whey protein shake that I had left in my car in the summer in Georgia. It fermented and exploded in my car.

Reddit Refugees on Lemmy, how are you guys liking lemmy so far?
My biggest pain point right now is the bugs. I tried posting a rather long reply to something and got a "Beehaw is down for maintenance" message. I'm not sure if it was the instance or my app (Connect), but I ended up losing the post.
Having said that, I really am enjoying my time here. People seem nice and welcoming, and engagement is good. I'm looking forward to seeing how things progress.

I did, until the engine blew up. The smell never really went away.

What is something that people think is dangerous but in reality is completely harmless?
Reply in thread
Similar to "fan death" in Korea, where they think running a fan in your bedroom while you sleep can kill you.

Makes sense about the markup!
As for the other issue I'm having with not being able to select the instance, it's just not giving me [email protected] as an option in the list. It gives me a bunch of other unrelated communities on other instances.

Feature Requests
I've noticed that when someone posts a link to a community (e.g. [email protected]) it tries to take me to a user instead of a community, telling me that the user can't be found.
Loving the app so far, though!

Have you done anything recently that you're proud of?
I got a glowing review from work (I was promoted 6 months ago) by both my boss and boss' boss. '

I do, but that's not the part that I had a problem with. It's when I tried to post something:
None of the options circled in red matched [email protected], so I was unable to post my question to this community through Connect.
Oddly, it's working correctly today:
