If this is passed, would this only apply to people in France? Like Signal and WhatsApp, etc, could they make a different version of the app / backend that's unencrypted just for them? Is that even possible? I can't imagine Signal adding a backdoor for everyone in the world.

Or would they just outright pull their software / apps from being used in France? But then what's stopping someone in France from sideloading the app and using a VPN?

If you are up for some self-hosting, pi-hole can block some ads, and whatever domain names you'd like. Just have to set your device's DNS to its IP address. Some ads will get through but it can block a large amount of them.

For android on a per app basis, I use the pro version of NetGuard to block some apps from connecting to ad and tracking domains, or if an app has no good reason to connect to Facebook, etc.

If you have a pixel android phone, GrapheneOS is a great OS to limit what data is sent off to Google.

A very fun exploration and puzzle game would be Tunic. It has combat which can be pretty tricky at times but in the game's settings you can make yourself invincible so you can just get through the combat if you'd like. If you try Outer Wilds and like it, I would try Tunic as well.

Both of these games are so interesting because they can be completed at any point, but it's completely dependent of everything you the player learn while playing the game. But for that reason I would not look into the games more than what's on the Steam store page, you gotta go in blind.

I played Fantasy Life I: The Girl Who Steals Time when I was sick. It's a very chill game where you can run around and do different "jobs" like fishing, woodcutting, mining, various crafting, and combat.

Along with Hello Kitty Island Adventure which is similar to Animal Crossing in some ways but heavier on quests and befriending the characters. There's a lot of reading though but I skim through most of it.
